About the role.

The Head of Supply Chain / Head of Operations - Supply Chainwill be responsible for the supply chain operations within one of the EMEA Clusters – NEU, SEU or GBI & MEA. This encompasses the local management of demand fulfilment, inventory planning, logistics (warehousing and outbound fulfilment) and sales order desk. A highly visible role within Dyson, you will be required to build strong and effective relationships across all functions with the local markets. Cross functional relationships and stakeholder management at a senior level are key to the success of the role.

About you.

Reporting directly to the EMEA Supply Chain Director you will be required to ensure local requirements within your cluster are considered within the future supply chain capabilities for physical logistics, reporting, systems, any aspects of supply chain and the human resources required to execute.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory management – control of all stock – A grade, B grade, Accessories, Spares, Returns, Scrapping – for your cluster. All stock locations will be managed in keeping with KPIs.
  • Logistics management of 3PL - manage day to day interactions with all third-party providers, short – medium term capacity planning. Be a key input to 3rd party provider selection and performance management, providing local knowledge and insight to requirements and key criteria. Attending and contributing to action driven QBR process.
  • Logistics budget – form partnerships with local finance teams to build and manage.
  • Cost initiatives – continuous thinking on cost saving and avoidance using a zero based budgeting approach.
  • Demand fulfillment - Be a key driver of the supply / demand generation process within the local market, using data and performance to drive improvement strategies across all functions.
  • People - Build an effective organizational structure and operating rhythm that has engagement with all touch points of supply chain within the local market. Ensuring that supply chain and operations remain ‘front of mind’ for all interdependent market activities.
  • Stakeholders - ensure key engagement with multiple stakeholders (internal and external) to support Dyson’s Owner experience at all touch points of the process within the local market. Establishing effective partnerships with the group and market customer service functions.
  • Cross functional working - Be the facilitator between the central supply chain functions and local market stakeholders, ensuring a balanced view between requirements and operational effectiveness are maintained.
  • Standards - Ensure local adherence to all product, quality, legal, and health and safety compliance within the supply chain / repair and refurbishment activities.
  • Aftermarket & Customer experience support – customer service should always be front of mind and how supply chain contributes and improves out NPS scores.
  • Team performance and Pulse surveys/initiative - Be a visible manager to all reports ensuring individual development plans and regular performance management reviews.
  • Reporting - Ensure a suite of KPI’s are maintained that demonstrate performance within the local market and drive actions that support an efficient operation.
