ENGLISH VERSION : Purpose and missions :
The Head of Network Performance plays a pivotal role in driving performance and profitability within Europcar Mobility Group’s (EMG) Operations. The mission is focussed on EMG Corporate Countries and is about driving the profitability of Europcar’s footprint (rental stations) by systematically improving its operational performance. The core of the role is analysing relevant key performance indicators, identifying best practices and deriving and documenting related actions in cooperation with the country operations teams for them to execute.
Beyond the countries overall performance, the Head of Network Performance helps the countries to define individual action plans for each rental station within a global and standardized framework. That framework - the ”EMG Station Network Improvement Program” - is developing and aligning footprint (rental stations) performance development plans for each corporate country at station level, ensuring performance deviations are addressed appropriately and continuous performance and profitability improvement is a consequence of proper execution supporting defined targets.
Main objectives :
Steering Network performance and operating costs improvement (Focus on “Cost to Serve”)
Benchmarking Networks performance and supporting countries in the definition of targets
Identifying and sharing of best practices and successful strategies
Analysing profitability and defining Performance KPIs and standards by type of station
Formulating recommendations for country’s footprint or a station’s operating model
Supporting the prioritization and validation of OPS Country Capex
Supporting the adoption of new technologies and digital transformation initiatives
The position requires a strong background in operations, analytics, stakeholder management, and performance improvement in a multicultural, matrix environment.
Major areas of accountability :
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Being responsible for the implementation and execution of the ”EMG Station Network Improvement Program”
Benchmarking Networks performance and supporting countries in the definition of targets.
Establishing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) for network performance.
Steering the Network performance and operating costs improvement (“Cost to Serve”)
Overseeing the implementation and utilization of robust network monitoring tools and analytics platforms.
Driving continuous improvement in network reliability, availability, and speed. Implementing proactive measures to prevent outages and optimize network efficiency.
Strategic Planning & Vision:
Set the long-term vision and strategy for network performance, and define the Target Operating Models based on building on stations taxonomy
Developing KPIs and standards for each type of station
Working closely with countries to develop roadmaps for organization alignment to the Target Operating Models and Standards.
Forecasting future network needs based on business growth and emerging trends.
Leadership & Management:
Working closely with Country Operations teams and supporting / mentoring them in respect to their network development
Fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within the network performance team
Supporting countries budgets, resources, and central function relationships related to network performance, tools and services
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborating closely with other departments (e.g., IT Operations, Security, Product Development, Sales) to ensure network performance supports business goals
Communicating network performance status, issues, and plans to senior leadership and stakeholders
Governance & Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies related to network operations and performance.
Cross-functional Stakeholder Management
Work closely with all Group functions (IS&T, Operations, Fleet, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Strategy & Transformation, etc.) to ensure consistency and alignment of projects
Coordinate with Country SLTs and local Operations leaders for deployment and execution
Provide transparency and governance updates to relevant steering committees

Maintain a station repository
Support the prioritization and validation of OPS Country Capex
Manage assigned projects end-to-end: scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Hold stakeholders accountable for deliverables and ensure performance tracking
Provide regular updates on KPIs, timelines, and risks to senior management
Team : No direct or dotted line reports initially, but strong coordination role across functions and countries.

Profile required :Academic level : Economics, Business administration or Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or any postgraduate degree
Specific knowledge :
More than 8 years in Operations Management, including at least 3 years in a significant leadership or coordination role. Proven experience managing cross-country performance and capacity planning.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Data analytics and digital solution deployment experience
Language skills :
English (mandatory), French or other additional European languages are a plus
