This role sits within Preqin, part of BlackRock’s Aladdin Client Business. Together, we are transforming how private markets data and technology power investment decisions globally.

Your Role:
As a Vice President within Preqin’s Business Development team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating our growth across France. We are looking for a commercially driven, relationshiporiented professional who is excited to build momentum, open doors, and close meaningful partnerships.
In this role, we trust you to make an immediate impact — generating new subscription revenue, building a strong and sustainable pipeline, and expanding existing client relationships in close partnership with our Aladdin Client Engagement colleagues.
You will be at the forefront of our go to market efforts in France, driving demand through localized events, targeted outreach, and strategic lead generation. This is a highly visible role with real ownership, autonomy, and opportunity to shape how we grow in one of our most important markets!
What you’ll be doing:
We’ll rely on you to own the full sales lifecycle, from first conversation to close — engaging senior decisionmakers, understanding client needs, and delivering thoughtful, value driven solutions. You’ll actively develop new business opportunities while also uncovering strategic expansion opportunities within our existing client base.
You’ll bring Preqin’s products and capabilities to life, confidently articulating how we help clients solve complex challenges in private markets. This includes delivering compelling proposals, running impactful product demonstrations, and acting as a trusted partner throughout the buying journey — whether meeting clients in person or connecting virtually.
Above all, you’ll be a collaborative force: working cross functionally, sharing insights, and contributing to a team culture that celebrates success and learns from every experience.
What we are looking for:
We’re excited to meet candidates who bring energy, curiosity, and a growth mindset. You’ll be fluent in French and have meaningful experience in business development or account management within financial services, alternative investments, or B2B SaaS environments.
You have a proven track record of delivering results — consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets — and you’re comfortable navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. You understand how to negotiate thoughtfully, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and create long term value for clients.
You’re commercially savvy, analytically strong, and naturally detail oriented. You enjoy solving problems, take ownership of outcomes, and bring a disciplined yet flexible approach to managing priorities. Just as importantly, you care about being a great teammate — building trust quickly, collaborating openly, and contributing positively to team momentum.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with technology more broadly will help you thrive in this role.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
