About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, commercially-minded Head of Marketing Strategy and Planning to build and lead a newly created team. This pivotal role will be responsible for unifying marketing planning across brands, geographies and channels – ensuring our investment decisions are customer-driven, data-informed, and aligned to broader business goals. You'll play a key role in shaping our global marketing efforts, working cross-functionally to deliver integrated campaigns that drive commercial impact across both B2B and D2C audiences.

 We welcome candidates from Barcelona, Remote in Spain, London or Remote in the UK.  This is an exciting opportunity to set the standard for strategic marketing planning in a high-growth fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, own and manage the annual global marketing calendar, spanning multiple brands, markets and new audience opportunities.
  • Align the marketing plan with financial targets, growth ambitions and overall business strategy.
  • Champion the role of customer insight, data and market intelligence in shaping marketing decisions.
  • Develop integrated campaign plans based on deep customer, market and competitor analysis – with clear success metrics and measurement frameworks.
  • Lead end-to-end campaign creation and execution, ensuring plans are delivered effectively, both financially and operationally.
  • Measure, analyse and report on campaign performance and overall blended marketing ROI.
  • Support the diversification of the media mix across digital and traditional channels, working closely with field and digital teams.
  • Promote marketing plans internally and foster strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support with the management and reporting of the overall marketing team budget.
Key Skills and Experience
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills – able to translate complex data and customer research into actionable marketing strategies.
  • Experience evaluating ideas analytically, balancing customer impact with commercial outcomes.
  • A solid understanding of both online and offline channels, and a track record of building integrated marketing campaigns.
  • An innovative thinker who can challenge the status quo and pioneer new approaches to customer engagement and marketing measurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience operating successfully in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong communicator and storyteller – able to build a compelling narrative around complex plans.
  • A self-starter with a start-up mentality – action-oriented, resourceful and able to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience across both B2B and B2C marketing environments is highly desirable.

  • Blended Marketing ROI improvement.
  • Campaign Effectiveness: % of campaigns meeting or exceeding objectives, full-funnel performance metrics tracked.
