The Role

Position Summary

Samsung has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets and our SMART TVs. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: first-party audience data at scale, world-class data science, and brand-safe ad inventory.

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the VP of Ad Sales and Operations, the Head of Enterprise Sales will lead Large Customer Sales for teams concentrating on building some of our most important and critical business relationships with advertisers and their agency partners. The team will be focused on driving growth from an established named account list with significant potential to grow across new products as well as new lines of business.

This leader should have a passion for streaming TV and have a pulse for new multi-channel advertising technology. The ideal sales leader is a strong and disciplined individual who maintains a highly efficient and disciplined operation while also attracting top-tier talent. This leader is deeply invested in fostering a positive culture, demonstrating proven experience in mentorship and talent growth. They excel as a cross-functional partner, effectively articulating customer needs and collaborating with teams in New Products & Solutions (NPS) and Ads Product & Engineering. With deep knowledge in sales systems, they consistently improve sales productivity and possess a demonstrated track record of growing revenues from stagnant categories. Furthermore, they bring valuable experience in scaling Enterprise customers. While experience in Media and Entertainment and Large Brand Advertisers is a helpful asset, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Skills and Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that drives outsized growth from large customers.

  • Develop high-level relationships with advertisers and their agencies serve as a trusted consultant to optimize their advertising growth.

  • Create mid-term and long-term strategic plan to grow the book of business both on and off our Smart TV platform.

  • Be responsible for developing the talent on the team and building growth plans to ensure all team members are on a high performing trajectory.

  • Be the Samsung Ads brand ambassador in the region establishing a position as a thought leader and market expert.

  • Be the voice of the customer acting as an internal champion for proposed Smart TV advertising strategy across other key Samsung stakeholders.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

  • Deep understanding of the video and connected TV media ecosystem .

  • 10+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a video publisher, DSP or SSP .

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience with a focus on driving large customer relationships and growing talent.

  • Builders' mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.

  • Successful internal and external relationship management.

  • Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate culture Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow through.

  • Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person, over the phone or video conference.

  • For candidates based in California, the salary range for this role is expected to be between $250,000 and $285,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role
