The Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance provides strategic leadership in managing the organization’s legal affairs, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk framework. This role ensures that the company operates within the law, mitigates legal and compliance risks, and upholds ethical and transparent business practices across all operations particularly in the digital healthcare space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and ensure alignment with local and international laws governing digital health operations.

  • Oversee all corporate governance, contracts, and partnership agreements.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance framework covering data protection, patient privacy (e.g., NDPR, GDPR standards where applicable), and healthcare regulations.

  • Lead the company’s enterprise risk management strategy — identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational, reputational, and financial risks.

  • Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies, government authorities, and external counsel.

  • Review and approve policies, procedures, and business initiatives to ensure legal soundness and risk mitigation.

  • Conduct compliance audits and ensure timely reporting of compliance metrics to leadership.

  • Guide and mentor team members in building a proactive risk and compliance culture across all departments.



Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or additional certification in Risk, Compliance, or Corporate Governance preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in a senior legal or compliance leadership role, ideally within healthcare, technology, or regulated industries.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate, contract, and data privacy laws.

  • Proven ability to balance legal rigor with business agility.
