Legal Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, manage, and develop the Legal & Compliance team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely, and effective legal support.
- Set team priorities, allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and optimize workloads in alignment with business objectives.
- Strengthen team capabilities through coaching, professional training, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor team performance and ensure effective collaboration across legal and compliance activities.
- Prepare and submit timely legal and compliance reports to the Group and senior management.
Legal Support for Business Operations
- Provide timely, practical, and commercially focused legal advice to management and all business functions.
- Review, draft, negotiate, and standardize commercial contracts, internal regulations, policies, procedures, and other legal documents.
- Develop and maintain contract risk checklists, legal guidelines, templates, and legal handbooks.
- Conduct training programs to improve employees’ understanding of contractual, legal, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and analyze new laws and regulatory developments that may affect the Company’s operations.
- Issue periodic legal updates and regulatory newsletters and ensure that relevant departments are informed of material legal changes.
- Support business functions in updating and improving internal policies and procedures when required.
- Ensure that internal documents and business practices comply with applicable laws, Group policies, and Company standards.
- Advise senior management on material legal risks, regulatory obligations, and compliance requirements.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation
- Lead the management of disputes, claims, legal proceedings, and litigation involving the Company.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to develop appropriate dispute-resolution and litigation strategies.
- Assess potential legal exposure and recommend preventive or corrective actions.
- Protect the Company’s interests while ensuring legal compliance and minimizing financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Manage relevant documentation, evidence, deadlines, and communication throughout the dispute-resolution process.
Legal Process Improvement and Digital Transformation
- Review existing legal processes and identify inefficiencies, administrative burdens, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and standardize legal workflows, contract review processes, approval procedures, and reporting mechanisms.
- Collaborate with Information Technology and digital transformation teams to evaluate and implement legal technology solutions.
- Support the implementation of systems such as contract lifecycle management, contract tracking, legal document management, and compliance monitoring platforms.
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and recommend further improvements.
- Perform other legal, compliance, and supervisory responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
Local Compliance Management
- Provide guidance and advice to local management and employees on compliance matters, particularly core compliance topics and local regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess potential legal and compliance risks and monitor the implementation of appropriate mitigating controls.
- Implement and maintain an effective Compliance Management System at the local entity.
- Continuously monitor relevant legal requirements, regulatory developments, and compliance risks within the Company’s operating scope.
- Implement Group compliance policies, standards, and procedures at the local level.
- Develop, conduct, and document general and targeted compliance training programs.
- Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports on relevant compliance topics, risks, incidents, and corrective actions.
- Take local responsibility for business-partner due diligence, compliance reviews, audits and assessments, internal investigations, and disciplinary or remediation measures related to compliance violations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university. A Master of Laws or other relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in corporate legal and compliance, including experience in a managerial or team leadership position within a company of comparable scale.
- Strong knowledge of commercial law, contract law, corporate legal matters, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and internal corporate policies.
- Experience in managing disputes, litigation, external counsel, internal investigations, and compliance matters.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to provide practical legal recommendations that balance legal risks with commercial objectives.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple legal and compliance matters simultaneously.
- High level of integrity, professional judgment, confidentiality, and independence.
- Fluency in English across listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Skills Required
