Head of Learning and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees involved in selling insurance products through banking channels. This role is crucial for ensuring that the bancassurance sales force is equipped with the necessary skills and expertise to meet business objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with the organization's bancassurance goals.
- Identify the training needs of the bancassurance team and create programs to address these needs.
Training Program Design:
- Design and develop training materials, courses, and curriculums tailored to the needs of bancassurance staff, including sales techniques, product knowledge, and regulatory compliance.
- Incorporate a variety of training methods, such as workshops, e-learning, and on-the-job training, to cater to different learning preferences.
Implementation and Delivery:
- Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and aligned with learning objectives.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops as needed, and coordinate with external trainers or consultants when necessary.
Evaluation and Assessment:
- Develop metrics and tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs and identify areas for improvement.
- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously enhance training quality.
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and manage the learning and development team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the bancassurance division.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Work closely with bancassurance managers, HR, and other stakeholders to ensure training programs align with business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external partners to support learning initiatives.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the learning and development budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all training programs comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards.
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and best practices in the bancassurance and training sectors.
Innovation and Best Practices:
- Stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in learning and development.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance training effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in learning and development, preferably within the financial services or insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of bancassurance operations and products.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to analyze data and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and instructional design software.
