The Role

The APAC Regional Head of Investments is a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of our investment presence and footprint in the region. You will serve as the senior-most investment authority in APAC, accountable for engaging with clients, media, regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders, acting as a team leader and local escalation point for investment related issues and collaborating with relationship management, product, marketing, risk, legal, compliance and other business partners to manage our activities, support our commercial ambitions and drive strategic initiatives in the region.

You will be a seasoned investment leader with deep regional market expertise, strong governance orientation, and the ability to operate as a trusted partner to global investment leadership, distribution, and enterprise stakeholders. This role will also partner with CIOs and other global investment leaders to ensure we have strong team oversight, talent management and integration of best practices globally.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Investment Leadership

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all investment activities across APAC, disciplined risk management, and consistency with global investment frameworks.

  • Serve as the senior investment thought leader and spokesperson in the regional, support client engagement and provide expertise based on investment acumen balanced with deep understanding of regional implications.

  • Translate global investment strategy and product capabilities into regionally relevant execution opportunities, balancing global consistency with local market opportunity and regulatory considerations; partner with other regional leaders to prioritize and support product and distribution initiatives.

  • Represent APAC Investments within global investment forums, committees, and decision-making bodies.

Investment Performance & Risk Governance

  • Provide local oversight and governance related to portfolio, trading and other investment activities within the region.

  • Provide oversight on new capabilities development through the lens of local norms, regulatory and risk frameworks.

  • Partner closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations to maintain a strong control environment and culture of accountability.

  • Lead the evaluation and continuous improvement of investment processes, tools, and decision frameworks.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Provide leadership, development, training and mentorship to support a high-performing regional investment organization.

  • Act as the regional leader on firm wide strategy and talent communications and initiatives.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and intellectually rigorous investment culture that attracts and develops top talent.

  • Act as a visible and engaged leader across offices and markets within the region.

Enterprise & Client Partnership

  • Partner with Global Investments leadership to shape firm-wide investment priorities, product evolution, and innovation.

  • Collaborate with regional and global Client Coverage, Product, and Solutions teams to support client engagement, due diligence, and investment positioning.

  • Participate in key client discussions as a senior investment representative, particularly for strategic relationships and complex mandates.

  • Contribute to thought leadership and the firm’s investment profile in the region, as appropriate.

Strategic Development & Growth

  • Identify emerging investment opportunities, market trends, and structural changes across APAC that may inform future product development or investment capabilities.

  • Support the development and scaling of new strategies, asset classes, or capabilities aligned with firm priorities.

  • Ensure disciplined resource allocation aligned with long-term investment and business objectives.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 20 years of investment industry experience, with significant leadership responsibility in portfolio management, research, or multi-asset investment organizations.

  • Proven experience leading investment teams across Asia Pacific markets, with strong understanding of regional market structure, regulation, and client requirements.

  • Prior experience operating at a senior leadership level within a large, global asset management organization.

  • Demonstrated success managing investment performance, risk governance, and organizational complexity.

  • Advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
