Job Description

We are looking for a colleague who would join our Finance Team. Head of Investments and M&A would work closely and collaborate with international team of Ignitis renewables, as well as Ignitis Group team of Investments and M&A. We value openness, partnership is our strength, and responsibility makes us a great team. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Own and drive the end‑to‑end Investment and M&A strategy, overseeing capital allocation, decision‑making, and execution of transactions.
  • Lead, develop, and scale the Investments & M&A function, fostering a high‑performance culture and strong leadership capability.
  • Establish and govern best‑in‑class valuation, financial, and commercial modeling to support investments, divestments, and strategic portfolio decisions.
  • Direct complex due diligence processes and transaction execution, ensuring rigorous risk management and high‑quality outcomes.
  • Shape, present, and defend investment proposals to executive leadership, investment committees, boards, and other key stakeholders.
  • Build and actively manage a robust Investment and M&A pipeline aligned with long‑term strategy, market dynamics, and growth priorities.
  • Act as a senior strategic partner across international, cross‑functional teams and external counterparties, providing insight on market trends, negotiations, and enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Have a University degree in Economics, Finance, Business management, Mathematics or equivalent; 
  • At least 5 years experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, advisory or related field; 
  • Have high level of accountability, clear and independent thinking, attention to details and excellent analytical skills; 
  • Are proficient in presenting complex information in a clear and simple manner and feel comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels; 
  • Are a true leader as well as a team player, with ability to collaborate with variety of teams (legal, technical, commercial, treasury, etc.); 
  • Have an excellent command of English; 
  • Experience in negotiations of M&A transactions documents; 
  • CFA/ACCA or similar qualification (advantage). 
  • Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) transactions, deep understanding of BESS project economics and value stack mechanics, is a strong advantage;
