We’re looking for a visionary Infra Security leader to architect and champion the future of secure infrastructure at Gong. You will spearhead our global strategy for building resilient, AI-powered cloud environments while enabling engineers to innovate with velocity and confidence. Together, we will maintain our market momentum and continuously elevate security as a core pillar of our value proposition.

You’ll Own:
  • The global cloud security strategy, architecture, and governance for Gong’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Leading a core team of ~5 cloud security specialists and providing strategic oversight for ~15 engineers in a matrix capacity.
  • The evolution of our Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP) at scale.
  • Cloud risk management, vulnerability tracking, and remediation programs.
  • Leading, mentoring, and growing a high-performing Cloud Security Engineering team.
  • Cloud infrastructure incident response procedures, playbooks, and readiness.
  • Cloud security evidence, risk registers, and control documentation in partnership with GRC, Legal, Privacy, and customer-facing teams.
You’ll Solve:
  • Securing massive-scale cloud environments while maintaining engineering velocity through automated guardrails and self-service security.
  • Designing resilient security frameworks that support complex AI workloads, including LLM and agentic workflows in the cloud.
  • Building security capabilities embedded directly into engineering workflows, including reusable frameworks, libraries, and guardrails.
  • Partnering with Engineering, Product, Infrastructure, and AI Platform teams to ensure secure-by-design architecture and implementation.
  • Balancing security rigor with engineering velocity in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll Impact:
  • Enabling developers to build secure products at scale.
  • Driving a measurable reduction in cloud infrastructure risk through engineering improvements.
  • Establishing architectural guardrails for data protection, authorization, and runtime controls in AI systems.
  • Influencing engineering decisions through deep technical collaboration and trust.
  • Defining the security approach for AI-powered features and LLM integrations.
You are:
  • A strategic cloud security leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams and matrixed engineering groups.
  • Experienced in leading direct teams and influencing managers and senior engineers in a matrixed engineering organization.
  • Comfortable managing managers in a dotted-line structure.
  • Able to influence engineering managers without direct authority.
  • Experienced in leading matrixed teams across functions.
  • Passionate about enabling developers through platforms, automation, and secure-by-default design.
  • An expert in Cloud Security and Infrastructure (5+ years) with substantial experience in strategic leadership and people management.
  • Knowledgeable in cloud-native architectures, APIs, IAM, containers, software supply chain security, and programming languages (Python, Java, Go, or similar).
  • Experienced in securing AI applications, LLM integrations, or agent-based systems (highly desirable).
  • A builder who believes security should accelerate engineering, not slow it down.
  • Collaborative, pragmatic, and able to influence engineering leaders without formal authority.
