Position Summary:

A strategic, enterprise-minded leader to head the Capabilities & Organizational Excellence Office within the RDC People Organization. The acceleration of RDC’s operating model transformation will require capability maturation, change leadership, and operational excellence to deliver measurable business outcomes. This role will architect and operationalize enterprise-aligned strategies that build future-ready capabilities, unlocking efficiencies, and strengthening the organization’s ability to anticipate and respond to internal and external demands.

Role is responsible for incubating and scaling high-impact capabilities (e.g., diagnostic mindset, team effectiveness, change management, organizational design, etc.) to drive integrated solutions across the People Org ecosystem while serving as a thought partner to RDC BMS LT members. With a strong focus on performance indicators, change readiness, and proactive risk identification, this role serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Capability Strategy & Maturation

  • Lead the development and scaling of People Org capabilities through RDC capability development, including diagnostic mindset, change management, team effectiveness, org design, digital enablement, and business intelligence.
  • Establish and track capability maturity models to measure progress and maturity across the enterprise to establish capability strength on behalf of the People Org
  • Deliver robust business cases, pilots, and scalable plans to enhance critical capability areas and drive measurable ROI.

Change Leadership & Readiness

  • Serve as the RDC lead for capabilities, overseeing methodology, resource coaching, and readiness planning across high-priority initiatives and integrating with business strategies
  • Design and implement integrated change readiness plans that align and accelerate to strategic initiatives and enterprise transformation priorities
  • Maintain shared, enterprise-aligned change metrics and reporting tools that monitor adoption, impact, and stakeholder engagement across all Transformation human capital elements

Organizational Excellence & Risk Navigation

  • Proactively identify organizational risks and friction points across the People Org and co-create integrated solutions in partnership with RDC and People Org Pillar Leaders.
  • Drive governance enhancements, process redesign, and cross-functional alignment to deliver business outcomes and enterprise value by embedding Org Excellence and/or capability tools in the ways of working.
  • Develop and manage an RDC-wide strategic dashboard to ensure transparency, alignment, and actionability. Measure and embed metrics in the integrated RDC end-to-end operating model efficiencies.

Market Responsiveness & Strategic Differentiation

  • Continuously assess external market trends and internal data to identify areas where RDC can differentiate and lead the industry in organizational strategic capability through activation of the newly created progressive People Org.
  • Shape, deliver and continuously evolve strategies and tactics that future-proof RDC’s operating model and human capital agenda.

Leadership Team Alignment & Program Office Oversight

  • Design and facilitate the strategic agenda for the RDC People Org Leadership Team, ensuring integration of cultural, change, and performance metrics.
  • Lead the RDC People Org Program Office: manage cross-functional programs, timelines, budgets, dashboards, and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Human Capital Strategy, Organizational Development, Transformation, or related functions.
  • Strong track record of leading complex, enterprise-wide capability and change initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Expertise in organizational diagnostics, program management, performance metrics, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strategic thinker with operational agility; excels at navigating complexity while delivering results.
  • Experience in pharma, life sciences, or healthcare industry is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Organizational Development, Business, HR, or related discipline preferred.
  • Certifications in change management (e.g., Prosci), organizational design, or Lean/Six Sigma a plus.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $257,040.00 to $311,500.00, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.

Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
