Econergy is seeking a hands-on, commercially driven Head of FP&A to lead the company’s financial planning and analysis function. Reporting to the Director of Economics & Planning, this role owns short- and medium-term budgeting and forecasting across Econergy’s growing European renewable energy portfolio.
The Head of FP&A will be a key analytical partner to senior leadership and a financial partner to operational teams, translating Econergy’s asset performance, project, and corporate finance structures into the financial insights that drive day-to-day and near-term decision-making.
This is a role for someone comfortable moving between the spreadsheet and the boardroom: digging into a single SPV’s debt service one day, presenting consolidated portfolio variance commentary the next.
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
• Own the annual budgeting process and rolling short- and medium-term forecasts (monthly and quarterly) across all business units.
• Integrate project-level cash flows into consolidated corporate forecasts.
• Lead corporate cash-flow forecasting.
Reporting & Analysis
• Monitor budget vs actual at project, portfolio, and consolidated levels; investigate variances, identify drivers, and deliver actionable commentary to the company’s leadership.
• Participate in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Drive the integration of FP&A methodologies and best practices into core information systems to enhance forecasting accuracy and financial visibility.
• Support internal reporting packages in coordination with Controlling, Treasury, and Tax.
RequirementsExperience
• 6+ years of FP&A, financial modelling, or project finance experience.
• Proven track record building and owning complex FP&A models end-to-end - not just reviewing models built by others.
• Solid working knowledge of project finance: project and equity cash flows, debt structures, partnerships, and refinancing economics.
• Deep experience owning end-to-end budgeting and forecasting in a multi-entity environment.
• Renewable energy or broader infrastructure sector experience strongly preferred.
Personal qualities (weighted heavily)
• Hands-on - comfortable rolling up sleeves and building the model yourself, not just reviewing other people’s work.
• Proactive, can-do mindset - treats ambiguity and shifting priorities as part of the job, not as obstacles; raises issues with a proposed solution attached.
• Ownership - takes a problem from raw data to decision-ready output without being micromanaged.
• Strong commercial intuition - knows which numbers matter to whom, and why.
• Clear communicator - can translate complex financial mechanics into a one-pager for the CFO and a one-liner for the CEO.
• Positive approach to information systems - sees ERP, BI tools, data platforms, automation, and AI as productivity multipliers; willing to invest time learning new tooling.
Technical & Education
• Experience with Priority ERP, and Power BI an advantage.
• Fluency in English and Hebrew required; additional European languages an advantage.
