The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head our Project Management Office (PMO), optimizing our financial infrastructure for future growth and strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape and drive high-impact financial initiatives at the heart of our company’s growth strategy.

As the Head of PMO, you will lead cross-functional projects to enhance our financial infrastructure, processes, and governance. Your work will ensure that GetYourGuide is prepared for its next evolution phase and aligns with the highest standards of financial operations and compliance. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and exceptional project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Finance PMO, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic priorities.
• You will directly report into the Finance Director
• Oversee and manage complex, cross-functional finance projects, focusing on enhancing scalability, transparency, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and IT teams to strengthen financial reporting, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and prioritize key initiatives for capital market readiness.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Manage communication and alignment across both internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress and risks.
• To meet evolving business and regulatory requirements, lead efforts to optimize financial systems, tools, and data flows.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in finance, consulting, or project management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives, experience at a publicly traded company is a plus 
• Deep understanding of financial processes, systems, and governance, ideally in a high-growth or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of capital markets, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage complexity and drive results under tight deadlines.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
