Job DescriptionThe Head of Finance and Accounting will oversee the full accounting function and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting for the organization.
- Lead and manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll-related accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and develop an accounting team, including direct oversight of AP, AR, staff/senior accountants, and accounting leadership.
- Prepare and review, financial statements, variance analyses, and key financial metrics.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, project management, and global finance teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, collections, and financial processes.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and workflow efficiencies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Lead consolidations, audit preparation, tax support, compliance reporting, and coordination with external advisors.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable accounting practices to support company growth.
- Ensure strong financial discipline across departments and provide guidance on accounting best practices.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA strongly preferred; CPA required if needed for client/company standards.
- 10 plus years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Prior Controller or senior accounting leadership experience required.
- Experience managing an accounting team required.
- Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, general ledger, internal controls, and audit support.
- Project-based accounting, or global company experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, job costing, and cost controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/accounting system experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
