The Chief Operating Office plays a critical role in defining and executing on Corebridge Financial’s Strategic Agenda, by fostering cross functional collaboration while aligning to strategic priorities.
Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Transformation Management Office will serve as a critical focal point as we develop and implement our overall strategic roadmap to support our organizational agenda, and other enterprise level programs. This role is critical in guiding the organization through the implementation of our strategic agenda to achieve financial results and business outcomes. The Transformation Management Office is a strategic partner to the Executive Leadership Team, workstream leads, and leaders across the company.
About the role
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Agenda: Partner with ELT to set the strategic agenda, with a clear roadmap to execution and lead the value creation story across workstreams
- Execution: Drive the execution of an achievable strategic agenda in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team, the portfolio and portfolio management team, and leaders to deliver sustainable improvements
- Frameworks: Build a framework and guidance to identify and execute transformational opportunities; track and manage progress
- Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert for the Executive Leadership Team and leaders, to ensure our strategic agenda and supporting initiatives remain the focal point
- Integration: Maintains an integrated view of all initiatives in the change program and ensure projects/workstreams are sequenced and executed properly
- Resource Deployment: Effectively employs resources to organize, plan and execute initiatives within designated timelines
- Measurement: Create a measurement process and feedback mechanism at strategic touch points to facilitate open communication and dialogue on transformational activities, and ensure effective delivery of results
- Value Realization: Partner with finance colleagues to provide financial analysis support, to ensure portfolio delivers measurable business value and tracks benefit realization against projected outcomes
This role will cover essential areas of project management, thought leadership, & collaboration across teams, with a focus on driving our strategic agenda to execution. This includes:
- Portfolio & Program Management:
- Lead the establishing of charters, the defining of programs, and the overall launch of our key priorities
- Oversee the overall portfolio, intake, prioritization, and resource allocation with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Provide governance reporting, decision facilitation, and ensure transparency across initiatives. Manage strong governance framework to monitor performance and risk across the portfolio.
- Assess programs for interdependencies and phasing to maximize efficiency and impact.
- Ensure programs have a clear scope, allocation of resources (staff, budget, and technology), and objectives, timelines, and deliverables are well defined.
- Communication:
- Partner with Corporate Communications to develop communication strategies that support across priorities.
- Create a holistic narrative for strategic change stories and integrate messages across company initiatives.
- Establish strong relationships across the organization to increase influence.
- Ecosystem:
- Leverage internal and external insights to drive business improvements for Corebridge., which include ecosystem mining, identifying partners, operating models and behaviors that could genuinely make a step change in our business.
- Harness ecosystem capabilities
- Manages across multiple horizons - look beyond what’s right in front of us.
