The Head of Engineering & Industrial Efficiency is responsible for leading and integrating all engineering, technical, and maintenance functions across the organization. This role ensures operational excellence by driving efficient production support, robust maintenance process, new product development (NPD), and technology advancement, while aligning engineering strategies with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all engineering, maintenance, industrial engineering, and technical operations across plant and head office to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure effective implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Provide technical support to production teams for smooth execution of orders in line with quality standards and operational targets.
  • Drive New Product Development (NPD), mockups, and technical execution in coordination with Design, R&D, Quality, and Production teams.
  • Establish and enforce engineering policies, SOPs, and technical standards to ensure consistency, safety, and compliance.
  • Review and approve engineering designs, technical changes, and non-standard costing related to materials, labor, and processes.
  • Develop and manage vendors, contractors, and service providers, ensuring cost-effective sourcing and quality delivery.
  • Lead resolution of technical issues, internal claims, and complaints by implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Drive technology advancement, automation, and ERP (e.g., SAP) integration to enhance productivity and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead, develop, and manage the engineering team by driving performance management, technical training, and capability building.
  • Oversee capacity planning, line balancing, and manpower optimization to ensure alignment with production targets and business growth.
  • Drive plant layout redesign and workflow optimization to improve throughput, reduce handling time, and maximize space utilization.
  • Lead time and motion studies and develop standardized work practices to enhance productivity and consistency.
  • Lead the production engineering department.
  • Lead Process Validation function.
  • Lead Industrial enginnering function.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical & Instrumentation); Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical & Instrumentation) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in engineering, maintenance, and technical operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing engineering, maintenance, industrial, or production operations across plant or multi-site operations.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in maintenance systems, production support, engineering design, and New Product Development (NPD).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with SAP experience and exposure to digital reporting tools considered an advantage.
  • Proven experience in vendor development, contractor management, and driving cost optimization initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and team leadership skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement, process efficiency initiatives, and operational excellence.
  • Working proficiency in English.
  • Eligible to work in Pakistan.

Skills Required
