Our mission is to create economic transformation. By training low-income adults to launch and advance careers as software engineers, we help our Fellows go from earning $18,000 to over $90,000 starting salary on average, adding an estimated $2M in lifetime earnings. Pursuit partners with leading companies like Blackstone, USV, Citi, Peloton, and Uber to employ Fellows in career-defining engineering roles and supports them with on-the-job training to ensure potential translates to performance. Since 2013, Pursuit has created ~$1B in total lifetime wage gains, creating lasting economic mobility that spans generations.

About the Role

Pursuit is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Employer Partner Success.  This position will be instrumental in Pursuit’s growth, and we are looking for a leader who will be strategic and tactical in developing relationship strategies and owning and building relationships with existing partners, while growing revenues.  You should have experience working with both customers and internal stakeholders to deepen and strengthen our existing partnerships, and a demonstrated ability to develop a new network quickly.  You’ll be joining a small, mission-driven company and have the opportunity to build new programs with lifelong impact.

This position will be reporting to our GM, Enterprise,  Thomas Voute, in the short-term as our organization grows. 

As an Head of Employer Partner Success you will: 

  • Represent Pursuit externally, generating enthusiasm and new leads at every opportunity.
  • Lead and drive employer-partnership development strategies to increase revenue and deepen existing relationships within our employer services program.
  • Lead the ideation, planning, and production of customer-specific account plans, relationship maps and partnership strategies
  • Collaborate across the organization to develop and refine renewal & upsell strategies.
  • Develop engagement strategies involving key personnel at existing partners including through events.

What you need to be considered for the Head of Employer Partner Success role: 

  • At least seven years of experience building and managing B2B customer relationships, ideally managing large scale enterprise partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and in-person and virtual presentation skills.
  • Expertise in leveraging customer relations to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to work individually and within a highly collaborative team setting.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Super creative mind with love for data.
  • Experience working with CRM tools (knowledge in SalesForce is a plus)
  • Sense of urgency to achieve business outcomes (essential)
  • Experience should include: building relationships, developing account strategies, creating relationship maps, storytelling, negotiating, closing, account management, etc.
  • Clearly articulate our value proposition and handle any customer conversations with confidence and ease.
  • Incredible relationship-builder with an ability to engage, connect, and maintain relationships with a wide diversity of individuals.
  • Creative, flexible, and solution-oriented.
  • Extremely motivated and inspired by Pursuit’s mission.

Where you’ll work: 

  • On site in our Long Island City office 4 days a week (M -Th) 

Salary & Benefits:

The anticipated salary range for this role is $170,000 - $190,000 base + an incentive-based performance bonus.

The compensation range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted.  If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated to you as a candidate.
