The Head of DevOps & MLOps is a senior leader overseeing the DevOps & MLOps function. This role is responsible for defining and driving the organization's DevOps and MLOps strategy, practices, and methodologies, ensuring alignment between development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership, and is also responsible for site reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Strategy and Governance
• Define the comprehensive DevOps and MLOps strategy, including practices, methodologies, coding standards, and best practices for DevOps/MLOps processes.
• Establish policies, frameworks, and best practices for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and ML lifecycle management.
• Ensure alignment between development and operations teams, establishing clear communication and workflows.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards in deployment pipelines.
• Responsible for site reliability, ensuring high availability and performance of systems.
• Leadership and Decision-Making
• Make high-level decisions on DevOps/MLOps initiatives, tool selection, technology implementation, and resource allocation.
• Drive strategic initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, deployment speed, and operational efficiency.
• Champion a DevOps culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to enhance DevOps/MLOps practices.
• Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with executive leadership, engineering teams, data science, and other key stakeholders.
• Communicate with executive leadership, stakeholders, and DevOps/MLOps teams regarding strategy, performance, project status, and site reliability.
• Align DevOps efforts with product and business priorities.
• Team Leadership and Development
• Lead and mentor DevOps and MLOps teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Guide professional development and training in modern DevOps practices and tools.
• Ensure proper staffing and capability building within the team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related engineering roles, with 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.
• Experience in Azure Architecting platform
• Solid understanding of MLOps practices including model versioning, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows, model serving, and model performance tracking tools.
• Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional ML Engineer).
• Background in Agile/Lean methodologies and experience implementing DevOps at scale.

Compensation and Benefits:

• 2 rest days per week
• 13th Month Pay
