Job DescriptionThe Head of Data Strategy and Partnerships will lead Experian India's enterprise-wide data strategy, driving the identification, acquisition, governance, optimization, and commercialization of data assets across the organization. This role will be responsible for shaping the strategic vision for all data domains, including alternative data, proprietary data, public data, partner data, and consent-based data ecosystems, enabling Experian's evolution into a leading Credit Intelligence Platform. The role will establish and maintain Experian India's enterprise Data Map, build strategic partnerships across the data ecosystem, evaluate new data acquisition opportunities, drive monetization initiatives, and enable Product, Analytics, and Business teams to create differentiated solutions powered by data.
Enterprise Data Strategy & Governance
- You will Develop and execute Experian India's enterprise-wide data strategy aligned with business objectives and growth priorities.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive Data Map covering internal, external, public, partner, government, and consent-based data assets.
- Define long-term data investment priorities, acquisition strategies, and capability roadmaps.
- Drive data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure compliance, quality, security, and responsible data usage.
Data Acquisition & Ecosystem Partnerships
- Identify, evaluate, and acquire strategic data assets that strengthen Experian's market position.
- Build and manage partnerships with financial institutions, fintechs, telecom providers, insurers, data aggregators, government agencies, and ecosystem participants.
- Lead negotiations related to data licensing, acquisition, and strategic partnerships.
Alternative & Emerging Data Strategy
- Drive Experian India's Alternative Data Strategy as a key pillar within the broader enterprise data strategy.
- Identify emerging data sources that can enhance credit, fraud, identity, collections, commercial, and consumer solutions.
- Develop differentiated data capabilities that create sustainable competitive advantages.
Consent-Based & Digital Ecosystem Strategy
- Lead data strategy across Account Aggregator, Open Banking, DigiLocker, and other consent-led ecosystems.
- Evaluate opportunities within India's digital public infrastructure and emerging data-sharing frameworks.
- Ensure Experian maximizes value from consent-based and ecosystem-driven data sources.
Data Commercialization & Product Enablement
- Identify opportunities to monetize data assets through new products, scores, attributes, insights, and analytics solutions.
- Partner with Product, Analytics, and Commercial teams to develop high-impact data-driven offerings.
- Prioritize use cases and investments across lending, fraud, collections, commercial, and direct-to-consumer businesses.
- Drive revenue growth through innovative data products and partnerships.
Proprietary Data Asset Management
- Maximize the value of Experian's proprietary data assets and capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to enhance, enrich, and commercialize existing data assets.
- Develop strategies to create unique and differentiated datasets.
Strategic Leadership & Investment Management
- Lead strategic data initiatives and transformation programs.
- Work closely with regional and global Experian teams to align data strategies and leverage global best practices.
- Own data-related investment planning, budgeting, and prioritization.
- Measure ROI and business impact of data acquisition, enhancement, and commercialization initiatives.
