The Role

Blue Owl Capital is seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and highly collaborative Head of Credit Product Marketing to lead product marketing across Blue Owl's broad and growing Credit platform. This individual will serve as a senior marketing partner to investment teams, product specialists, fundraising teams, marketing organization and client business leaders across both the Wealth and Institutional channels.

This role sits at the center of Blue Owl's fundraising and client engagement efforts, responsible for translating investment capabilities, market opportunities, and portfolio outcomes into compelling narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and capital formation. The individual will drive the development of messaging, content, shareholder updates and communications, and go-to-market strategies across a range of credit solutions, ensuring consistency of messaging globally while tailoring execution to the distinct needs of institutional investors and financial advisors. The mandate includes drawdown and evergreen funds within Direct Lending and Alternative Credit.

The successful candidate combines a deep understanding of private credit markets with strong storytelling capabilities, exceptional cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to operate strategically while driving execution. They will play a critical role in shaping how Blue Owl brings its market-leading credit capabilities to life across the full client lifecycle, from product launches and fundraising campaigns to ongoing investor communications and in-market activation.

Responsibilities

Product Positioning, Messaging & Narrative Development 

  • Develop and evolve differentiated positioning, messaging frameworks, and value propositions for Blue Owl's credit strategies and products in partnership with sales, product specialists and investment team partners.

  • Translate complex investment strategies, portfolio construction concepts, and market developments into clear, client-centric narratives. 

  • Partner closely with investment teams, product specialists, and distribution leadership to develop messaging aligned to client needs and fundraising priorities. 

  • Ensure consistent positioning and messaging across Wealth and Institutional client businesses, regions, and channels. 

  • Serve as a steward of the Blue Owl brand by ensuring product narratives are differentiated, compelling, and aligned with the firm's broader story. 

Content Strategy & Development 

  • Lead the development of high-impact marketing content, including pitch books, presentations, product materials, thought leadership, market insights, product updates, white papers, and sales enablement tools. 

  • Build and manage an ongoing content pipeline aligned to business priorities, fundraising goals, investor interests, and market events. 

  • Partner with investment professionals and product specialists to surface differentiated insights and translate them into scalable marketing content. 

  • Equip sales and client coverage teams with content that supports client conversations, fundraising efforts, and relationship expansion. 

  • Tailor content and messaging for Wealth and Institutional audiences while maintaining consistency in core product narratives. 

Go-to-Market Strategy & Product Launches 

  • Lead go-to-market planning and execution for new product launches, fundraising initiatives, strategic campaigns, and key business priorities. 

  • Develop launch frameworks, messaging strategies, activation plans, and content programs that support successful market introductions. 

  • Partner with Segment Marketing, Client Engagement, Client Communications, Distribution, and Product Specialist teams to coordinate execution across channels and audiences. 

  • Establish repeatable launch and activation processes that can scale across products, geographies, and client segments. 

Product material management & Fundraising Support 

  • Manage standard fun materials . 

  • Campaign inputs: Collaborate with Segment Marketing on targeted activation strategies across advisor, institutional, and intermediary audiences. 

  • Ensure product narratives are consistently represented across digital channels, events, conferences, webcasts, and sales materials. 

Shareholder Communications

  • Lead the development of shareholder communications and investor-facing content, including shareholder letters, quarterly updates, AGM materials, annual meeting content, and performance narratives in partnership with investment teams, IR and product specialists.

  • Partner with investment teams and product specialists to ensure communications are timely, accurate, and aligned to portfolio developments. 

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights 

  • Monitor competitive positioning, product marketing trends, investor sentiment, and market developments across the private credit landscape. 

  • Synthesize market intelligence and client feedback into actionable recommendations for content strategy and go-to-market planning. 

  • Partner with business leaders to identify emerging opportunities, evolving client needs, and whitespace areas for growth. 

Qualifications

  • 8-12+ years of relevant experience in product marketing, investment communications, capital formation, product strategy, or related financial services roles. 

  • Deep knowledge of private credit markets and alternative investment products. 

  • Experience partnering with investment teams, product specialists, and distribution organizations. 

  • Strong writing, content development, and storytelling capabilities, with an ability to translate complex investment concepts into compelling client narratives. 

  • Demonstrated experience managing product launches, fundraising campaigns, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships. 

  • Strong commercial orientation and understanding of fundraising objectives and client acquisition strategies. 

  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term positioning with hands-on execution. 

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across levels and functions. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, and reporting and analytics systems. 

The base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $225,000 - $250,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
