In this role, you will work closely with Gap Inc.’s Head of Communications to enhance and protect Gap Inc.’s business, reputation and corporate brand through 360-degree content strategies targeting a wide variety of stakeholders – from current and prospective employees to business partners, analysts, NGOs, industry networks and press. You will develop a deep understanding of the business and leverage your understanding of industry trends to cultivate champions—who want to work for, shop at, and invest in Gap Inc. and our house of iconic American brands, by creating breakthrough storytelling and experiences that elevate Gap Inc.’s narrative and serve as reasons to believe.

Salary Range: $255,300- $446,800
Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.What You'll Do
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic communications strategy that promotes Gap Inc.'s vision, mission, culture, and values to diverse stakeholders, including prospective employees, media, and investors.
Protect and enhance Gap Inc.'s reputation through effective proactive and reactive communications strategies and executive counsel, including crisis management, media training, and social listening.
Serve as the key owner of the company narrative and announcements that serve as reasons to believe, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders (e.g., Government Affairs, Sustainability, Investor Relations, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging and amplification of company messaging.
Oversee the creation and distribution of key communications materials, including corporate campaigns, press releases, and social content.
Implement metrics to assess and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives.
Manage the Company Communications budget, including employer branding and corporate sponsorships.
Foster a culture of high performance, emphasizing continuous improvement and excellence.
15-20 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Marketing, or Public Affairs, ideally within the Retail and Apparel sectors.
Proven ability to lead cultural and change initiatives, positioning Gap Inc. as a preferred employer, shopping destination, and investment opportunity.
Creative thinker with extensive experience in corporate storytelling through PR, events, and content creation.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of guiding high-performing teams from concept to execution.
Excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously while exercising sound judgment in urgent situations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience in speechwriting.
Ability to devise innovative solutions in a fast-paced, complex environment.
