About The Role

As the Head of Content, you will oversee the development and delivery of high-quality content and production projects, ensuring an exceptional experience for our audience. You will lead a team of content creators, learning experience producers, and production professionals, driving innovation and excellence in strategic content creation and delivery. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for both creative storytelling and effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the content, learning experience production, and production operations teams, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Oversee the end-to-end content and production development process, from ideation and planning to execution and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain content and production standards, guidelines, and best practices to uphold quality and consistency across all materials and projects.
  • Work closely with the Production Management Department to ensure budgets, schedules, and creative concepts are aligned, and production processes are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content creation, learning experience design, and production, incorporating relevant innovations into our strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop engaging and effective content and learning materials aligned with organizational goals and audience needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the impact, effectiveness, and efficiency of content and production processes.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of content and production initiatives, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning within the content and production teams.

Technical Competencies

  • Familiarity with learning experience design methodologies and e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of production technologies and workflows, including video production, audio recording, and post-production processes.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms for organizing and distributing content effectively.
  • Proficiency in content creation and production tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team of creative professionals.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and allocate resources effectively.

Experience

  • 10 years of experience in a leadership or management role in content creation or a related field, preferably in the online education, media, or entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful content and production strategies that drive business results and engage audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Media Production, Education, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
