The Roku Ad Marketing team is responsible for accelerating new revenue potential, advancing Roku's advertising brand positioning, and providing insights and inspiration that helps all businesses maximize their potential in TV streaming. Our team of marketers, strategists, and designers deliver client strategies, research and insights, new product innovations, events and experiences, and more that deliver on Roku's purpose to make TV better for everyone.
About the Role
As a senior member of the Ads Marketing and Measurement team reporting to the Head of Ad Marketing, the Head of Content Monetization will develop marketing strategies and operations that position Roku as a leader in media, advertising, and technology while creating scalable monetization opportunities for Roku Media.
In this leadership role, you will guide a dedicated team and collaborate closely with Content, Product, Sales, Consumer, and Brand teams to design, launch, and scale innovative advertiser programs that drive competitive differentiation and garner recognition from key advertising customers, partners, and industry bodies. You will also serve as the primary voice of ad monetization to key leaders across the organization.
For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $233,000 - $378,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What You’ll Be Doing
Marketing Strategy and Operations
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance awareness and adoption of Roku’s content and media offerings (e.g., Roku Channel, Roku Originals, Roku Brand Studio).
- Create a comprehensive marketing calendar to support major initiatives, strengthen competitive positioning, and drive ad monetization.
- Establish clear positioning for Roku’s offerings, including live/FAST, AVOD, sports, and sponsorship programs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align monetization priorities and ensure cohesive execution.
- Design scalable advertiser programs that maximize monetization and deepen partnerships by leveraging Roku’s full advertising and content capabilities.
- Empower sales and marketing teams with clear priorities, messaging, and research on our offerings.
- Develop impactful go-to-market materials (e.g., presentations, sales sheets, video reels) to effectively position our content and media offerings.
- Coordinate with teams across the organization to ensure the success of programs that drive customer retention.
Marketing Execution and Excellence
- Maximize key media moments, including Roku Originals premieres and advertiser campaign launches, to maximize press coverage and awards recognition
- Foster customer success and advocacy through partner programs, case studies, and co-marketing initiatives.
- Ensure Roku’s offerings are well-represented at major advertising and trade events (e.g., CES, NewFront/Upfront, Cannes).
- Ensure our content and media offerings are prominently featured across all marketing channels including web, email, and social.
We’re Excited If You Have
- 10+ years of experience in digital media, particularly in advertising, content, or product marketing leadership roles.
- Proven track record of interfacing with content and product teams develop and execute advertising and sponsorship programs.
- Strong ability to define and manage marketing narratives for sales and marketing teams.
- Experience with integrated marketing strategies that combine digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem, consumer and market dynamics, and emerging trends.
- Exceptional leadership and relationship-building skills and experience hiring top-tier sponsorship marketing professionals.
- Strong analytical skills to define and measure success metrics for continuous improvement.
- A collaborative and adaptable work style, ready to meet the evolving business needs, with proven ability to manage high-stakes projects and meet tight deadlines.
