Samsung’s Advertising Sales Team operates at the intersection of display advertising and connected televisions offering advertising solutions with the goal of helping our advertisers reach their target audiences across our TV platform and beyond. We are looking for a person who likes early stage opportunities and would like to join a growing team to help define the next chapter within this exciting growth advertising business.
Samsung Ads (part of ESBO - European Service Business Organization) is responsible for identifying, evaluating and determining new opportunities on top of the global footprint of European Samsung Smart TVs. The EU advertising team is working to create value for partners, advertisers, and agencies through its unique insights into content consumption in the shifting media landscape.
The Head of Sales France is responsible for evangelizing the advanced TV advertising business and building the client base for the French Samsung Ads business. This person will build relationships with high-potential agencies and brands and their associated advertisers, presenting Samsung’s cutting edge marketing solutions to senior executives at major agencies and brands.
The Head of Sales France will be empowered to develop sales pipelines and to develop a strategy for long-term success by uncovering the business needs of key clients. As part of our European sales leadership, this position will work closely with all relevant internal & external stakeholders to help develop world class solutions for agencies and brands, ensuring our clients achieve their advertising goals.
The candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and must also have an entrepreneurial mind-set, taking ownership in creating opportunities.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

  • Achieve and surpass revenue goals.
  • Hire, manage, motivate, and develop a world class sales team.
  • Develop and execute a customer-led strategy for long-term growth with media agencies, brands and CTV ecosystem partners in France.
  • Build and execute joint business plans with partners which drive adoption of Samsung Ads tools and products.
  • Build and manage a detailed C-level engagement strategy including regular business reviews.
  • Lead education and enablement of key sales functions including delivery of training, roadshows, summits and other agency-wide events.
  • Present the Samsung Ads brand and story at key industry events as part of panels and presentations.
  • Collaborate with key decision-makers and Samsung Ads sales teams to drive development of specific advertiser accounts.
  • Deliver against assigned quarterly goals while prioritizing and delivering an outstanding experience to Samsung’s agency partners.
  • Collaborate and consult with key agencies and brands with the goal of extending relationships, increasing the client and agency base and optimizing their advertising.
  • Own and develop primary agency relationships from executive C-level down to specific account teams including Media Planners and Buyers.
  • Analyze data trends and client performance.
  • Develop strategic plans and prepare and conduct strategic presentations.

  • Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction.
  • Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities.
  • Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety.
  • Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates.
  • Manage the on boarding, off boarding process and the entirety of the colleague lifecycle process for all team members.
  • Manage all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner.
  • To be accountable for ensuring your team are compliant with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding the company values.

 

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • 8-10 years of experience in full lifecycle sales at a media or technology company with experience in TV advertising, digital media, and advertising platforms.
  • 5+ years of managing and developing high performing sales teams
  • Experience building a book of business and managing against quotas.
  • Proven success working with French media agency groups and top 250 clients.
  • The ability to construct, implement and execute trading agreements between a media owner and agency holding companies.
  • The ability to lead, conclude and execute complex C-level negotiations
  • Independent, self-starter; comfortable with ambiguity, and resilient. Thrives in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide comprehensive advertising solutions to prospective clients.
  • BA/BS preferred
