Job Purpose:
Oversee all accounting, tax, and financial reporting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.
Reporting Line:
Reports to: Director of Accounting / Consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the general accounting, AP, AR, and GL functions.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Manage statutory reporting and audits (external and internal).
- Oversee tax planning, compliance, and filings (corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax).
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
- Manage relationships with tax authorities and auditors.
- Lead balance sheet review and reconciliation processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial governance.
- Drive process improvements and system enhancements (ERP).
- Lead and develop the accounting & tax team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (CPA/ACCA highly preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in tax regulations (Egypt / regional).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting.
- Experience in manufacturing or pharma sector strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP referred).
