Purpose of Role
- Focus on Operating Expenses (OPEX) Coordination
- Support the Business Finance Centre (BFC) and Market/Cluster Finance teams by delivering accurate, timely, and standardised month-end close, planning, and recurring reporting outputs for the assigned scope.
- Ensure data integrity through first-level checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis; provide clear summary views and commentary to support decision-making; and maintain process documentation.
- Contribute to ad hoc continuous improvement initiatives as required.
- This role requires flexibility in working hours during periodic peak periods and a collaborative approach within a highly team-based environment.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Coordinate for the standard Month-End Close (MEC) deliverables for the assigned scope, ensuring data completeness, mapping accuracy, and alignment with standard definitions.
- Coordinate for variance analysis versus prior month and plan/latest estimate; highlight key drivers for BFC Lead.
- Consolidate planning templates (e.g OPEX, payroll/headcount, Direct marketing expenses where applicable), validate consistency, and perform first-level reasonableness checks.
- Support reconciliations between tracking files and source reports; investigate variances and coordinate corrections with relevant teams.
- Ensure timely, efficient, and accurate flow of information for decision-making
Key Competencies & Experience
- Degree educated, with 1-3 years' experience in finance, accounting, or analytics.
- Process-oriented, with strong organisation and planning skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong spreadsheet and financial modelling capability, including comfort with data manipulation and financial systems.
- Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn and use new technologies.
- Fluent in English and comfortable working in a culturally diverse organisation.
