Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time HBPE Coordinator for our Eligibility Specialist Department.
Guide patients through the financial options process:
- Facilitate patient with Medicaid Eligibility
- Facilitate patient with Marketplace
- Obtain Charity application, process, and approve/disapprove charity
- Give patient other possible options to take care of patient financial responsibility
Duties can include as needed that are part of the process:
Supervise the Registrars on day, evening shift and weekends, assuring that adequate coverage is maintained. Coordinates the collection of information for Ambulance/Trauma patients. Supervises the operations of the Registration Department (Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room Registration.) Monitors employee production and quality of output of the Registration process. Communicates with the Emergency Room manager in charge, nursing floor managers in charge and Nursing Supervisor in charge to coordinate the efforts of the Registration department.
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is required
Experience:
- 1 to 2 years of position related experience is preferred
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-2 years position-related experience
- Knowledge/ability to facilitate Medicaid eligibility and Marketplace enrollment
- Ability to obtain, process, and adjudicate charity applications
- Supervisory experience over registration staff and shift coordination
