About the RoleEPOS is looking for a Hardware Product Lifecycle Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of our hardware solutions, from product ideation and development through launch, optimisation, and eventual retirement. This role is critical in ensuring our POS/payment hardware ecosystem remains competitive, reliable, and scalable across Southeast Asia markets.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, and external vendors to deliver high-quality hardware products that meet merchant needs and business goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & Roadmap- Own the lifecycle strategy for EPOS hardware products, including terminals, peripherals, and merchant devices.
- Define product roadmap based on market trends, merchant feedback, business priorities, and competitor analysis.
- Build business cases for new hardware opportunities, upgrades, or cost optimisation initiatives.
- Translate business and merchant needs into clear product requirements and technical specifications.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and QA teams to manage prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) process from concept to commercial launch.
- Work closely with OEM/ODM partners, manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure timely production and quality delivery.
- Manage component sourcing, cost control, inventory planning, and supply continuity.
- Identify and mitigate risks such as shortages, delays, quality issues, or supplier dependency.
- Lead hardware product launches across key markets, ensuring operational readiness and go-to-market alignment.
- Support Sales and Operations teams with product training, positioning, pricing inputs, and deployment readiness.
- Monitor launch performance and merchant adoption metrics.
- Track product performance across cost, reliability, usage, merchant satisfaction, and profitability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for hardware quality, usability, and supportability.
- Plan product refresh cycles, end-of-life transitions, and replacement strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in hardware product management, product lifecycle management, or hardware operations.
- Experience with POS devices, payment terminals, IoT devices, retail hardware, or consumer electronics is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial mindset with ability to balance user needs, quality, speed, and cost.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Mandarin is a plus for regional supplier coordination.
