Job Description:
We are seeking a Hardware Engineer III with at least 7 years of proven industry experience designing and delivering field-deployed electronic equipment. This role will lead and execute hardware development activities for embedded controllers, mixed analog/digital systems, communication devices, motor-drive interfaces, power converters, and industrial electronics.
The Senior Hardware Engineer is expected to own complex designs, guide technical decisions, mentor other engineers, and drive products from concept through validation, production release, and field support. The role requires strong hands-on capability, sound engineering judgment, and a demonstrated record of releasing reliable products into real operating environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of mixed analog and digital hardware for embedded control, communications, sensing, motor-drive interfaces, and power conversion systems.
• Own the full PCBA design lifecycle, including architecture, requirements analysis and definition, schematic design, PCB layout review, component selection, prototyping, bring-up, validation, and production release.
• Define hardware requirements, design trade-offs, validation strategy, and acceptance criteria.
• Model and analyze electrical systems such as power converters, motor-drive circuits, protection circuits, and control interfaces.
• Support or define digital control requirements based on simulations, calculations, and experimental data.
• Lead board-level and system-level debugging, including EMI/EMC, thermal, grounding, signal integrity, power integrity, and environmental robustness issues.
• Drive root-cause analysis for field failures, production issues, and reliability concerns.
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, sourcing, quality, reliability, and product teams to ensure robust product execution.
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and structured problem solving.
• Support supplier evaluation, component strategy, DFM/DFT reviews, certification activities, and engineering change processes.
• Produce and review technical documentation, test plans, validation reports, design reviews, and release packages.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, or similar.
• 7+ years of industry experience in electrical/electronic hardware development.
• Proven record of delivering production-ready hardware used in field-deployed equipment.
• Strong mixed-signal hardware design experience, including analog circuits, digital circuits, microcontrollers, power electronics, protection circuits, and communication interfaces.
• Strong PCBA lifecycle experience, including schematic capture, PCB layout review, prototype bring-up, validation, and production support.
• Experience with industrial, outdoor, energy, automotive, agricultural, or other harsh-environment equipment.
• Strong hands-on debugging skills using lab equipment and structured troubleshooting methods.
• Solid understanding of EMI/EMC mitigation, grounding, filtering, thermal behavior, and reliability considerations.
• Ability to translate requirements into robust hardware architectures and validation plans.
• Experience with Altium Designer or similar ECAD tools.
• Experience with embedded firmware interaction, C-based embedded systems, Python-based test automation, or data analysis is desirable.
• Experience with system modeling, simulation, control loops, motor drives, or power converters is a strong plus.
• Experience in conducting or supporting reliability tests.
• Familiar with V cycle development model.
• Master’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field is a differentiator.
• Fluent in English.
