Job Description:
Airbus is looking for a Handling Qualities engineer (m/f) to join our Stability & Control Department based in Toulouse, France.
Within Aircraft Control Domain, an Airbus strategic and inspiring domain, you will join the Handling Qualities team for the Long Range programme, a group of supportive and engaged people.
In this team, you will be involved in 3 main activities:

A/C control surfaces sizing to ensure the A/C maneuverability and stability requirements,

Flight domain definition : definition of characteristic speeds, definition of angle of attack protection settings, setup of weight & CG diagrams, All these activities in strong relation with cockpit systems and with operational people (Flight Operations , Flight test),

Failure cases analysis : assessing the A/C behavior in case of failure of A/C systems and assessing the criticality of this behavior.

Your challenges:

Supporting Handling Qualities activities for New development aircraft (A/C)
-
Preparing HQ inputs for A/C certification and continued airworthiness,
-
Contributing to aircraft safety assessment and safety improvement initiatives,
Your boarding pass:
# Degree in aeronautical engineering (or equivalent), beginner or with a 1st experience
# Strong Flight Mechanics and Flight Dynamics knowledge,
Following knowledge / interest would be an advantage for the role:
- Automatic control of system Control feedback loop is a plus
- Control simulation tools : Matlab, Simulink, …
- Interest in digitalisation (data analytics)
- Aircraft systems
# Language skills: advanced level in English and French.
# A team and collaboration spirit
