POSITION SUMMARY
KKR is seeking an experienced Manager in Investment Data Operations to join its expanding data management group within the Global Data Operations Team, supporting all investment strategies. This role, based in Gurugram, India, and reporting to the Head of Investment Data Operations, offers a unique opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in investment operations at a prestigious buy-side firm. The successful candidate will oversee the setup of assets in the security master system across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions, ensuring data accuracy for trading, compliance, investment allocation, and portfolio analytics. They will support daily pricing activities for US colleagues, validate vendor data changes, and lead and manage data reconciliation processes requests, help promote and advance data operations global data initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced SQL skills and a proven track record in data analytics, with 5 to 7 years of experience in investment operations, preferably within a financial institution or fund administration. A thorough understanding of middle and back-office business operations is essential, and experience in a data governance role is desirable. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau will be considered an asset. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours to support global operations. This individual will also demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills, fostering an inclusive and inspiring team environment. They will drive the rollout of IDO-related products to the data platform, ensuring the implementation of robust data quality rules. Additionally, they will develop insightful dashboards, proactively implement process automation to enhance operational efficiency, and ensure thorough documentation of processes and procedures. As a Senior Manager, they will provide supervision and guidance to the team, ensuring high operational standards and continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership and Collaboration: Demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills, managing a diverse team with positive energy and inclusivity.
- Asset Setup Management: Oversee the setup of assets in the security master system for North America, EMEA, and APAC regions, ensuring data accuracy for trading, compliance, investment allocation, and portfolio analytics.
- Daily Pricing Support: Provide support to US colleagues for daily pricing activities, implementing controls to ensure data accuracy.
- Vendor Data Validation: Monitor and validate vendor data changes daily before updates are published downstream.
- Data Reconciliation: Facilitate and build data reconciliation processes using the enterprise reconciliation tool (Duco), serving as the center of excellence for Duco within the firm.
- Product Rollout: Lead the rollout of IDO-related products to the data platform, ensuring the implementation of relevant data quality rules.
- Dashboard Development: Develop and maintain dashboards to provide insights and analytics based on the data.
- Process Automation: Identify and proactively implement opportunities for process automation to enhance efficiency.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize strong SQL skills and leverage Python where desirable, to enhance data operations and drive technical excellence within the team.
- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of processes and procedures to maintain operational standards.
- Flexible Work Hours: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones and support global operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and equivalent work experience in finance, accounting, data analytics, data operations, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in investment operations, preferably within a financial institution or fund administration.
- Advanced SQL skills and a proven track record in data analytics.
- Experience in data governance roles and familiarity with middle and back office business operations.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Experience with security master systems and asset setup processes.
- Familiarity with Geneva or similar portfolio accounting systems.
- Technical proficiency in Excel and experience with other data languages such as Python is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to independently investigate issues and develop scalable solutions.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across various business groups.
