We are looking for a passionate and experienced GTM Systems Engineer to join our North America team. This individual will own and continuously improve the systems that power our go-to-market organization, with Salesforce at the center of a connected, scalable, and reliable technology ecosystem.

Role Overview

As a GTM Systems Engineer at Island, you will serve as a senior technical owner across Salesforce and the broader GTM technology stack. You will partner closely with GTM leadership and end users to understand business needs, translate them into thoughtful system solutions, and deliver work through a structured intake and release process.

You will take a hands-on approach to building, troubleshooting, and optimizing Salesforce automation; maintaining integrations and workflows across connected platforms; and ensuring that access, data, and system performance remain dependable as the business scales. You will also help continue to define and mature how GTM systems operate at Island, with a passion for identifying areas of improvement and rolling up your sleeves to build the frameworks, documentation, and processes that support them.

What You'll Do

·     Own and continuously improve our Salesforce org, with a strong emphasis on Flow-based automation, including declarative builds, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing flows.

·     Own and maintain integrations and workflows across our GTM stack, including Salesloft, Clari, Nooks, DealHub, Onfire, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, and other connected platforms.

·     Manage user provisioning, access, and application assignments through Okta, including troubleshooting SSO and provisioning conflicts across connected systems.

·     Triage, scope, prioritize, and deliver system requests through our Jira-based intake and release process.

·     Partner with GTM leadership and end users to gather requirements, recommend scalable solutions, explain technical tradeoffs in plain language, and manage stakeholder expectations.

·     Document processes, configurations, system architecture, and key decisions so institutional knowledge is accessible and sustainable.

·     Monitor data quality, system performance, integrations, and automation health across the stack; proactively identify and resolve issues before they become blockers.

·     Support the onboarding and offboarding of GTM tool users in coordination with Okta and each downstream system.

·     Work independently with a self-sufficient, proactive approach while managing multiple requests and projects through completion.

·     Act as a senior voice in system design decisions and mentor team members on Salesforce and GTM tooling best practices.

What You Bring

·     Extensive Salesforce administration experience, including significant tenure managing a production org, ideally in a GTM- or Revenue Operations-supporting capacity.

·     Deep, demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce Flow, including record-triggered flows, screen flows, and scheduled flows, with the ability to build new automation and debug complex existing processes.

·     Experience owning projects end to end, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, release, documentation, and stakeholder communication.

·     Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders and build trust across teams.

·     Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate competing priorities and recommend practical, scalable solutions.

·     Exceptional attention to detail, strong follow-through, and a process-minded approach to ensuring work is completed to a high standard.

·     The ability to work independently, collaborate as part of a team, and operate effectively with minimal oversight.

Preferred Experience

·     Working proficiency in at least two of the following platforms, or comparable GTM systems: Salesloft, Clari, Nooks, DealHub, Onfire, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and 6sense.

·     Experience administering Okta for user provisioning, application assignment, SSO, and access troubleshooting.

·     Experience working within a Jira-based intake, ticketing, prioritization, and release process.

·     Familiarity with GTM systems architecture, data governance, integration monitoring, and operational support processes.

·     The ability to discuss and demonstrate situations where you learned a technology and applied it to solve a business problem.

Preferred Certifications

·     Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator, or equivalent demonstrated experience administering a complex production Salesforce environment.

·     Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder and/or Salesforce Certified Platform Administrator II preferred.

·     Additional Salesforce credentials related to platform architecture, development, or business analysis are a plus when supported by relevant hands-on experience.
