The Role

Role: GTM Engineer

Description: Blackthorn.io, a Salesforce-native event management platform, is hiring its first Go-To-Market (GTM) Engineer to join our growing team. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and is eager to drive GTM strategy while building scalable systems and processes from the ground up.

You’ll report directly to executive leadership and serve as the connective tissue between GTM teams, systems, and data. We’re seeking a nimble, scrappy, and solutions-oriented architect who can seamlessly navigate a distributed team, uncover insights, and execute cross-functional projects without waiting for direction.

Compensation: Starting at $125,000 Year 

What you’ll do

  • Lead Generation Engine: You will be responsible for building and maintaining a scalable system for generating high-quality leads, not just one-off lists. This may include integrating tools like Clay, deanonymization apps, Common Room or Unify, mass email platforms with domain warming, and others (you’ll be expected to have your own playbooks), with our existing systems (Salesforce, Pardot).
  • Data & System Integration: You will own the connections between our various data sources and our Salesforce instance to ensure a seamless flow of information. Your strategy will be the "glue" that brings Salesforce, Pardot, Apollo, and other tools together.
  • Signal & Intent Data: You’ll be an expert at identifying and integrating new data sources, including intent data providers, that can help the sales & marketing team prioritize accounts.
  • Sales Enablement: You will partner with sales leadership to create automated workflows and personalized outreach sequences based on the data you’re generating.

What we look for

  • Proven success at a scaling B2B SaaS company, ideally during a phase of rapid growth or go-to-market transformation.
  • Deep experience across Sales, Marketing, and RevOps, with a strong understanding of how these functions intersect.
  • Hands-on expertise with tools like Salesforce, Pardot, Clay, Apollo, Zapier, and intent data providers—you’ve built real solutions, not just operated within them.
  • Demonstrated ability to build systems and workflows from the ground up in environments with high ambiguity and minimal structure.
  • Strong understanding of lead routing, enrichment, attribution, and GTM analytics—you’ve architected workflows that improve sales execution and marketing precision.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify high-leverage opportunities and ship scrappy, scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills—you know how to work across a distributed team and extract what you need from stakeholders without waiting for intros.
  • Self-starter who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and act as both architect and operator.
