Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Tool Installation: Install new tools at customer sites following established procedures to achieve predictable warranty start dates.
Technical Troubleshooting: Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical equipment issues related to installation. Perform basic system-level troubleshooting and repairs based on technical knowledge, education, and training. Escalate complex issues to Senior Engineers or management.
Reporting: Prepare field service reports and daily pass-downs on installation progress and non-conformances. Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Reports.
Travel Readiness: Obtain necessary international travel documents and manage personal affairs to remain ready for extended travel assignments.
Financial Management: Maintain personal finances to prevent disruptions to scheduled activities during extended travel.
Collaboration: Work with Senior Engineers, Technical Support Engineers (TSE), or Managers to develop and execute Plans of Action (POAs).
Communication: Provide daily updates to management through progress pass-downs and service reports. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
Work Conditions
Frequent domestic and international travel, often alone.
Extended assignments at customer sites, with minimal return to the home office.
May require six-day workweeks and overtime.
Independent work environment with guidance from senior engineers for IE1 level.
Required Skills & Competencies
Ability to perform basic business communication (greetings, work explanations, progress reporting, conformance test reporting).
Understand customer issues as instructed by a manager or senior engineer and communicate them effectively to management.
Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
Flexibility to travel across international borders and adapt to varying work environments.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
1~3 years of experience in Servicing or installing semicon capital equipment are preferred
Knowledge and experience in Semiconductor Wafer Manufacturing, specifically steppers or Metrology Management preferred
High level of technical and troubleshooting skills
