The Global Security Operations Center Analyst II plays a critical role in Compassion’s Incident Response operations by monitoring and analyzing large volumes of incoming information to identify incidents and risks relevant to the organization, determining their significance, and escalating concerns through timely, accurate reporting to appropriate stakeholders. This position supports the protection of Compassion’s people, assets, and reputation while providing actionable intelligence to inform decisions and assists in the development and implementation of corporate-wide security measures and awareness initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable best practices. At this intermediate level, the analyst works independently on moderately complex projects or as part of larger initiatives, collaborating with teams such as Global Security, Enterprise Investigations, Crisis Management, and Risk Management, as well as various National Offices. The ideal candidate will have experience in security intelligence, crisis management, or security operations, with strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information into actionable insights.
What will you do?
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and serves as a consistent witness for Him. Demonstrates a courteous, Christ-like attitude in all interactions and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.
Acts as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.
Monitors open-source intelligence, news feeds, and incoming data to identify potential risks to Compassion’s operations. Analyzes physical security environments, observes activities, and collaborates with staff to gather operational insights. Maintains strong English language skills for clear, accurate security reporting to diverse audiences. Keeps current knowledge of approximately 30 program countries and understands incident types that may impact Compassion in those contexts.
Contributes to implementing security practices by identifying risks, researching solutions, and deploying innovative technologies and techniques to safeguard staff and assets. Demonstrates proficiency in tools for monitoring, processing, and analyzing large volumes of information and evaluating incidents for escalation. Works scheduled shifts as part of a team providing 365 days/year monitoring and response support, maintaining readiness and prompt communication during assigned hours.
Responds to emergencies involving accidents, threats, or injuries; prepares reports and recommendations; analyzes incident trends; and advises on mitigation strategies. Evaluates individual risk issues and provides employee consultations as needed.
Supports Global Security and RAC operations by monitoring, assessing, and responding to events that could impact Compassion’s mission. Builds strong relationships with National Office staff through regular communication and collaboration to maintain situational awareness and provide support. Directs inquiries appropriately and maintains familiarity with organizational philosophy, manuals, and security best practices
Practices discretion and upholds confidentiality at all times.
Provides expertise to other teams as needed and may offer direct support to Crisis Management and Global Security functions.
What do you bring?
3+ years of experience working in security, law enforcement, military, or similar position.
Degree or vocational certificate in Security Management, Security Studies, International Security, Criminal Justice, International Relations, Political Science, Environmental Safety, or related discipline preferred.
Ability to function independently, as needed, with minimal supervision.
