About the Role
As the Strategic Sourcing Director – Network/Telecom, you will be responsible for jointly creating, developing (with internal Clients) and implementing category strategies including the sourcing life cycle and commercial activities for aligned suppliers. This area will focus on Network, Telecom & Software related categories. Serves as the organizational expert in the category to meet internal requirements that drive desired business outcomes and financial results. This role will be instrumental in driving positive outcomes in the delivery of category strategies, negotiations, contract management, supplier management and related areas.
Responsibilities
Creating, developing, implementing and managing Network, Telecom & Software Category Strategies
Developing strong, trusted partnerships with key business stakeholders while building, developing. and implementing category strategies
Acting as Alight’s contractual point of contact with aligned suppliers, managing strategic sourcing engagement activities (RFPs, negotiations, contracting, governance etc.) and ongoing relationship
Taking proactive ownership in the Technology Category (supply markets, internal business requirements, etc.)
Developing solid demand forecasts and consults with key stakeholders on industry trends
Proactively defines requirements to enable continuous improvement and works with other Procurement Teams to ensure latest market research and analytics drive category strategy
Leading in connecting the Supplier needs of all businesses and bring those parties together to identify opportunities/synergies driving alignment on common product/service sets
Acquiring a deep understanding of Client/Business Objectives and business drivers in order to build those elements into the Sourcing process
Driving alignment and manages risk and issues
Taking proactive ownership and accountability of all categories
Requirements
Have 7-10+ years experience in Category Management or equivalent work related experience including Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, Negotiation, RFX/Bid Initiation/Management and other
Ability to be the lead role in Category Management & Supplier Management/Interaction
Have Technology Network, Telecom & Software knowledge/experience
Have proficient leadership and communications skills
Ability to think strategically and interact with C-Suite Level Management
Have a bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Have other certifications relative to the field a plus

Minimum :
102,400 USDMaximum :
