Job Description:

AGI is seeking a GSE Regional Manager to oversee our Ground Support Equipment (GSE) operations across multiple East Coast locations. This is a strategic role, responsible for ensuring high-quality maintenance and efficient operational performance while upholding safety standards and meeting the company’s financial goals. The successful candidate will lead and support local site managers and mechanics to deliver exceptional service and operational reliability in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regional Leadership: Manage and provide guidance to site-level managers and teams at various East Coast airport locations, ensuring alignment with AGI’s operational standards and objectives.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee GSE maintenance and repair activities across all East Coast sites to maintain optimal equipment functionality and reduce downtime.
  • Safety & Compliance: Champion safety across all regional operations, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and FAA regulations, as well as company safety policies.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, control costs, and oversee inventory management to achieve financial targets for the region.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs and regularly review site performance metrics to ensure sites meet operational efficiency and quality benchmarks.
  • Team Development: Hire, train, and mentor local managers and team members to ensure high standards of performance and a strong, collaborative work culture.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for regional management updates, liaising with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to support operational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • 8+ years of experience in GSE, automotive, or heavy equipment maintenance, with at least 5 years in a management role overseeing multiple locations.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • In-depth understanding of GSE systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams in multiple locations.
    • Strong budgetary and financial management skills, including inventory oversight.
    • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel frequently within the East Coast region.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain an airport operations permit, if required.
    • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays.
