JOB PURPOSE:
As DP World progresses on its mission of being a global trade enabler, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) 2 specializing in mobile app development, you will take on a more senior role within the development team, leading initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence in mobile app development.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the design and implementation of complex features and components in mobile applications.
Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and technical innovation in mobile app development.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high performance and reliability of mobile applications.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on mobile app development efforts.
OTHER
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviors in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Basic qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of experience in mobile app development, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages commonly used in mobile app development (e.g., Swift, Kotlin, Java, Objective-C, Flutter).
Experience with mobile app development frameworks, tools, and libraries.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
