Job DescriptionThe role of Group Reporting Accountant is important to us. You will be responsible for supporting the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant consolidated financial reporting for the Radius group of companies. The role ensures compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, statutory requirements, and corporate policies while supporting financial analysis and audit processes.
We will be happy to welcome you to our office in Crewe, with working hours from Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
Your daily responsibilities will be...
- Take ownership of entities within the Group Holding stack. Produce monthly management accounts and provide high quality commentary and variance analysis to the financials.
- Support the Group Reporting Manager with the production of the Group consolidation of over 80 entities under IFRS, prepare consolidation journals such as investment eliminations, intercompany eliminations, GAAP adjustments and acquisition accounting adjustments.
- Review the submissions from the subsidiary entities, via preparing detailed balance sheet and P&L reconciliation. Liaise with the subsidiary finance team to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Production high quality monthly financial reporting packs, including P&L and cash flows in accordance with the Radius Group timetable.
- Assist with audits, corporate tax returns and statutory submissions.
- Challenge the existing reporting and controls providing proactive assistance, support and guidance to the team, to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies.
- Support the growth and capability of trainee accountants within the team, fostering consistent excellence and professional development.
- Support in business improvement projects, as directed and as identified, autonomously.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a Finance related role
- ACA/ACCA part or newly qualified
- Audit background desirable
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to deliver high quality work
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to work under pressure and effectively prioritise to achieve strict deadlines and targets
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
