Objetivo de la Posición:

“Material Cost Reduction Group Leader Sr” es responsable de la coordinación del equipo de trabajo del área MCR para mejorar la rentabilidad de la compañía, asegurando la gestión y administración de recursos para la implementación de ideas de reducción de costos de material (VAVEs, Supplier Resourcings y Negociaciones).

Responsabilidades:

Coordinar juntas regulares con equipos multidisciplinarios para asegurar la apropiada coordinación de cambios y negociaciones de reducción de costos con proveedores.
Definir la prioridad a los proyectos de reducción de costo basado en ahorros y factibilidad.
Asistir a los equipos de Ingeniería de Procesos, Producto, Logística y Compras en la generación e implementación de proyectos.
Creación del presupuesto anual, actualización mensual y trimestral de acuerdo a las frecuencias indicadas por el área de finanzas.
Monitoreo del métrico de ahorro de costos de manera mensual y hacer ajustes de acuerdo al mismo, asegurarando llegar a la meta.
Liderar juntas regulares con el equipo de Finanzas para alinear el % de EBIT y los ahorros por proyecto.
Asegurar los recursos para la coordinación de “workshops” con equipos multidisciplinarios para la generación de ideas y participar activamente en los mismos.
Asegurar cada uno de los entregables desde la generación de Ideas hasta la implementación de proyectos.
Gestionar la generación y revisión de “Business Cases” para proyectos de reducción de costo.
Atender juntas con clientes/proveedores para fortalecer la comunicación.

Requerimientos y cualificaciones

Escolaridad: Licenciatura en Finanzas, Contaduría Pública, Economía, Ingeniería Financiera, Comercio Internacional, o carrera a fin al área de Ingeniería. (Título y Cédula profesional)
Mínimo 2 años de experiencia en puestos de liderazgo.
Mínimo 7 años de experiencia en posiciones relacionadas al “Powertrain”
Experiencia deseable de 3 años en el área de Compras y Finanzas
Experiencia en manejo de equipos multidisciplinarios
Comunicación efectiva comprobada con proveedores y clientes

Conocimientos específicos

Sobresaliente manejo de términos comerciales y financieros
Enfocado a objetivos
Manejo del proceso de reducción de costo (VA/VE)
Dominio de modelos financieros
Project Management
Experto en herramientas de MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project)
Conocimiento del funcionamiento de los productos de MPT
Experiencia en diversos procesos de manufactura

Alto nivel de análisis, planeación, priorización y conocimiento en el funcionamiento de los productos producidos.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, International Trade, or related Engineering (Title and professional license)
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Powertrain-related positions
  • At least 3 years experience in Purchasing and Finance
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Proven effective communication with suppliers and customers
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and financial terms
  • Experience with cost reduction processes (VA/VE)
  • Proficiency in financial modeling
  • Project management and project coordination skills
  • Expert user of MS Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project)
  • Knowledge of Magna Powertrain products and manufacturing processes
  • High-level analytical, planning, and prioritization skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability
  • Excellent oral and written communication in Spanish and English
