As an independent review function within the Roche Group, the Group Audit team provides assurance to the senior leaders of Roche by assessing and understanding the inherent risks to the entire organisation, and by improving the efficiency and compliance of operations. As a Auditor/Senior Auditor, you will be part of Group Audit, an independent assurance function within the Roche Group that assists the two core divisions as well as group functions in managing their business risks to improve efficiency and compliance. You will be a member of a multicultural and dynamic team based in Basel. The development of our team members is strongly supported within Group Audit.

In this exciting and challenging role, you will be joining a team conducting risk-based business processes audits across multiple Roche operating units. Over time, you will take Team lead roles.

Your responsibilities comprise following aspects:

  • Understand relevant commercial operations processes, perform risk assessments and develop related work programs

  • Evaluate on-site business and compliance risks and agree with management on appropriate action plans to improve internal controls as well as the effectiveness of their processes

  • As the team lead, effectively manage and support a team of auditors through audit engagements

  • Interact with and be exposed to multiple organizations, develop a broad understanding of the Roche Group while expanding team work and leadership capabilities

  • The position involves a fair amount of world-wide travel (up to a maximum of 40%)

Who you are

You have solid academic credentials (Master’s degree), ideally in business administration or healthcare relevant field and willing to work in an international corporation and multicultural environment. You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Solid Auditing or Strategy consultant background, through which you have acquired good business acumen, or bring in addition direct experience from the Business (Sales & marketing, supply chain, commercial operations, etc.)

  • Good understanding of risk-based auditing and data analytics

  • You have a first experience in leading audit assignments, preferably in a multicultural environment, as well as good project management skills

  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills as well as adaptability to different cultures complete your profile

  • Integrity and business partnership are some of your core values

  • Fluency in two languages including English is expected, further European languages an advantage

This position requires a moderate amount of international travel, accounting for up to 25% to 35% of your time, often in two-week stints.
