Your role
Prudential’s Group Insurance team is seeking a performance driven leader to join the growing Premier (100 to 4,999 lives) business segment as a Producing Sales Manager. The Premier business segment is a key growth market within Prudential Group Insurance’s overall business strategy and this role will play a key part in achieving these growth aspirations.
You will be reporting to a Regional Vice President of Sales and will lead a team of Premier Sales Executives in the development and maintenance of strong producer relationships in your assigned territory that will lead to desired quote activity, sales and customer retention for employer groups from 100 to 4,999 lives. You will collaborate with internal and external business partners to develop consultative and strategic solutions to meet the financial needs of your customers
You will be expected to achieve the desired sales goals and financial objectives for your assigned team, as well as the achievement of your own individual assigned sales production targets. You will also be responsible for the coaching and professional development of your assigned sales team
We will provide you with opportunities to further develop your skill set, stretch into new areas and work on transformational initiatives.
Responsibilities:

Generate new business and sales growth opportunities by building and maintaining strong broker relationships in assigned market

Provide their Premier Sales Executive team the resources, training and ongoing coaching to enhance their professional development and drive success in their roles.

Work closely with Underwriting, Marketing and Operations teams to drive revenue while maintaining profitability within the segment

Identify and share market and competitive trends with Distribution leadership and key business partners

Leverage Prudential’s value proposition to drive desired marketplace differentiation and success in their local market

Effectively executing our sales strategy while supporting the organizations strategic decisions through leadership, actions, and influencing organizational initiatives through personal participation and input.

Plan for and staffing open positions to meet business needs, considering the most diverse slate possible for every vacancy

Evaluate, document, and discuss each direct report’s progress toward objectives and achievement of results semi-annually

Utilize a flexible management approach in an attempt to unleash employee potential and help eliminate barriers to success (i.e., seeking diverse slates for project teams and key assignments, engaging employees in decision-making, cross-training, Business Based Flexibility, etc.)

Regular communication of GI strategy, goals and objectives to their assigned team

Ensure team is well trained and competent in Group Insurance products, company procedures, the regulatory landscape, and ensuring capabilities are in place to support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications

Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
-
Strong understanding of producer management and relationship development

3-5 years of group insurance sales experience

Established relationships/contacts with broker/consultant community and strong professional reputation in the industry

Strong financial acumen and ability to learn group insurance products, financials and pricing concepts

Consultative selling skills and ability to differentiate Prudential’s value proposition

Demonstrated track record to achieve assigned sales strategies goals

Ability to obtain a state Group Life and health insurance license within 30 days of hire
