What you’ll do at Elekta
At Elekta, we don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer. In the role as Group Financial Controller you will work with internal financial reporting and consolidation on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. In connection with this you will support reporting entities with accounting, reporting and systems related questions and tasks. On a quarterly and yearly basis you will work with the preparation of the external reporting, including interim and annual reports and related documentation.
The scope of the role also includes the development and continuous improvement of process and procedures within Group Accounting as well as accounting and reporting related processes and guidance for the overall Elekta Group. In co-operation with other Group Accounting team members you will work with administration of the Group reporting System - Aaro, including the integration between Aaro and the global ERP system M3 as well as other reporting uploads.
In addition, this role you are expected to stay updated on accounting and reporting regulations impacting, as well as performance and implementation of internal controls related to the Group reporting process and participate in the external audits, providing supporting documentation for reported data and accounting and reporting related processes.
Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the Group Financial Controller will also take on responsibilities such as:
- Support EBS, reporting units and other finance functions with accounting, reporting and systems (Aaro) related questions.
- Work with updates and improvements of Elekta Financial Guide.
- Perform internal controls related to the Group Accounting and reporting process.
- Participate in the preparation of interim reports and the Group Annual report.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Participate in and drive projects related to accounting, reporting including automation and process improvements together with other functions within Elekta.
- Support and train other functions and colleagues in relation to financial reporting.
What you bring
- University degree in business administration, preferably with a major in accounting.
- Approximately 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting, reporting, consolidation, and audit.
- Knowledge in accounting, group accounting/consolidation and reporting- and consolidation systems.
- Analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting and experience in reporting frameworks and reporting systems.
- Understanding of the relevance of implementing good internal controls when building processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively within the organization.
- Enjoy creating structure and establishing processes to increase efficiency and improve processes and ways of working.
