Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies, and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Ground Electronics Supervisor to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ground electronics systems, communication equipment, and associated support devices.
Oversee technicians performing inspections, repairs, calibrations, and system testing in accordance with Navy and Amentum standards.
Ensure proper configuration, functionality, and readiness of electronic systems supporting mission operations.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, equipment records, and technical documentation.
Coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental regulations related to electronic systems and equipment.
Provide technical guidance, training, and performance oversight for assigned personnel.
Support installation, upgrades, and integration of new electronic systems or components.
Required Qualifications
Employees must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.
Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance throughout the duration of deployment.
3 years of experience in ground electronics maintenance, communications systems, avionics, or related technical fields.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in electronics, communications, or electrical systems preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi‑national workforce.
Experience supervising technicians or leading maintenance teams.
Strong understanding of electronic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with Navy or DoD electronic systems, maintenance programs, or technical documentation.
Valid driver’s license.

Working Environment
This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.
Physical Requirements
Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
