Position: Grinder Coordinator
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prior to beginning work, inspects equipment to assure that it is in safe operating condition and that any required preventative maintenance checks have been completed. · Provide operational support services and direct workflow for area of responsibility to meet performance standards. Involves using existing systems and protocols to carry out operational tasks by following established processes. · Operate semi-complex equipment and machines, prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency and adjusting multiple related variables to resolve production problems. · Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and share information. · Direct work for a team performing routine work to meet daily schedule requirements. · Carry out standard activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions. · Assign work to others to speed up workflow and ensure high-priority tasks get done. Follow the organization's Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions; to identify and mitigate risks to the wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace, and to safeguard the environment. Train the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and escalating serious issues as appropriate. · Carry out inspections of finished and unfinished goods to a standard and other quality assurance task, as needed. · Examines all surface areas and welds to detect defects. · Ability to work in a confined space. · Sets up, adjusts, and operates equipment in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner to produce required parts. · Flaps and blends weld burns on the exterior and interior of tanks using electrical and pneumatic shop tools. · Buffs outside heads and grinds manhole covers and outlet pods using electrical and pneumatic shop tools. · Grinds welds, deburrs rough metal, and produces various finishes on metal. · Stone grinds, peens, belts, flaps, and blends seams on the inside of the bottle using pneumatic shop tools
QUALIFICATIONS: Sets-up and operates a production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery. Adjusts machine setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely fashion. Ø Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Ø Demonstrates ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints, weld symbols and procedures.
