Job Description
The Rockefeller Center Operations (RCO) Creative team is responsible for developing and executing creative solutions that support the employee, guest, and visitor experience across the 30 Rock campus. We partner with teams across Operations, Hospitality, Retail, Facilities, Security, Production, Human Resources, Corporate Communications, and other business units to bring ideas to life through compelling visual storytelling.
We are seeking a highly creative and versatile Graphic Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for a designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple mediums including motion graphics, digital signage, environmental design, print collateral, presentations, experiential activations, and branded communications.
The ideal candidate is equal parts designer, storyteller, and problem solver. They possess strong conceptual thinking, exceptional design skills, and the technical expertise to execute projects from initial concept through final production. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of employee-facing communications, guest experiences, campus environments, and special events across Rockefeller Center and NBCUniversal properties.
What You'll Do:
Creative Development & Visual Storytelling
  • Develop innovative creative concepts that support internal communications, employee engagement initiatives, events, experiential activations, retail promotions, hospitality programs, and guest-facing experiences.
  • Transform strategic objectives and business needs into compelling visual narratives that engage diverse audiences.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas that elevate the quality and effectiveness of creative campaigns.
  • Present creative concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback effectively throughout the design process.

Motion Graphics & Digital Content Creation
  • Design and produce motion graphics, animations, kinetic typography, and video assets for digital screens, presentations, social media, internal communications, and experiential environments.
  • Create dynamic content for campus-wide digital signage networks, including ribbon walls, menu boards, lobby displays, and digital advertising screens.
  • Develop animated promotional materials for employee events, corporate initiatives, activations, and brand campaigns.
  • Edit and enhance video content using motion graphics, visual effects, sound, and typography to create engaging storytelling experiences.
  • Optimize content across various screen formats, resolutions, aspect ratios, and digital platforms.

Print & Environmental Design
  • Design and produce a wide range of printed materials including posters, flyers, brochures, signage, banners, exhibit graphics, wayfinding systems, decals, environmental graphics, and marketing collateral.
  • Create large-format graphics and experiential installations for campus environments, employee spaces, retail locations, hospitality venues, and special events.
  • Develop visual solutions for exhibits, display cases, museum-style installations, and branded storytelling environments.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork and mechanical files while ensuring compliance with print specifications, vendor requirements, and production standards.
  • Partner with print vendors and production teams to oversee projects from concept through installation.

Experiential & Environmental Branding
  • Support the development of immersive brand experiences and campus activations that enhance employee engagement and guest experiences.
  • Design environmental graphics that transform physical spaces into compelling storytelling opportunities.
  • Contribute to experiential marketing initiatives, seasonal campaigns, milestone celebrations, and company-wide events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative concepts into physical environments while maintaining design integrity from concept to execution.

Brand Management & Creative Standards
  • Ensure all digital assets are optimized for accessibility, user experience, and platform-specific requirements.
  • Maintain consistency across all creative touchpoints while balancing innovation and business objectives.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining design systems, creative templates, style guides, and best practices.
  • Ensure all work reflects the quality, professionalism, and excellence associated with NBCUniversal brands.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations to continuously elevate creative output.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional design experience within an agency, media company, entertainment organization, corporate creative department, or in-house studio.
  • Demonstrated experience developing creative solutions across print, digital, motion, and environmental mediums.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual thinking, visual storytelling, motion design, and production expertise.

Additional Information
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
