Job Description

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done.  Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues.  Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are: 

  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, for liaison with media, writing of internal communications, marketing copywriting and proof-reading. 
  • Ensure that you fully understand the business strategy and positioning of the Anantara brand, and that you are able to effectively articulate this position in the marketplace.  This is the responsibility of ALL sales and marketing professionals, regardless of their responsibility level. 
  • Create visually appealing marketing collateral, including brochures, banners, flyers, posters, social media graphics, email campaigns, and other promotional materials that align with the resort's branding and messaging. 
  • Maintain a personal up-to-date knowledge on all Anantara product and service offerings, and the products, services, rates and new developments of key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends. 
  • Design engaging visuals for the resort's website, social media channels, and online advertising campaigns to increase online engagement and conversion rates. 
  • Assist with presentation of hotel information in the media, on industry websites and directories and all other relevant online and paper-based publications. 
  • Collaborate with external vendors to oversee the production of printed materials and ensure the highest quality standards are met. 
  • Collate and distribute media references to the hotel and the brand, and proactively circulate to all relevant internal parties 
  • Assist in selecting and editing high-quality images for marketing materials, ensuring that they represent the resort's luxury experience. 
  • Assist the corporate Marketing team in all marketing or public relations focused projects. 
  • Uphold and enforce brand guidelines to maintain consistency in design across all marketing channels and materials. 
  • Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to conceptualize and execute marketing campaigns that drive revenue and occupancy rates. 
  • Conduct market research on competitor hotels within the industry that is seen as relevant and delivering competitive advantage to the brand, in that the research is valued and eagerly awaited by the corporate and operational leadership teams. 
  • Stay updated on design trends, competitor marketing strategies, and industry best practices to propose fresh and innovative design concepts. 
  • Maintain and continually improve the hotel library of photography, DVD, video and other electronic media. Update content on webpage & drive MarCOM related projects. 
  • Solicit and obtain external sponsorship for promotions and special projects 
  • Ensure the website content is up to date for all hotels within the Area utilizing the procedures and processes set out by the corporate office.     
  • Co-ordination of translations. 
  • Achieve all personal performance objectives, working with department leadership to ensure these objectives are met. 
  • Liaise effectively with all operational colleagues, providing support and information to ensure accurate delivery of our promise.  In particular this includes Cluster Sales, Front Office, Reservations, and Events colleagues. 
  • Ensure that all paperwork associated with the work of the department is processed quickly and efficiently, including letters, emails, contracts and reports. 
  • Distribution of all inter-office mail and memo’s (incoming/outgoing faxes, letters, contracts, productivity reports, etc) 
  • Answering telephone in a timely manner and taking messages where appropriate. 
  • Act as a liaison Sales Team and customers  
  • Process of all correspondence within acceptable time limit (within 12 hours) 
  • Attend mandatory meetings 
  • Assist in other areas as directed by the DOSM 
  • Maintain of Customer and PR Database  
  • Responsible for photo library and coordinate photo shooting  
  • Assist DOSM and GM with MarCOM related projects, incl. vanity pages, coffee books, give aways, printed material etc.  
  • Handle all Internal/External Marketing & Collateral related projects as directed by management and corporate teams. 
  • Assist with month-end reports 
  • Maintain filing system and files 
  • Seek out opportunities for sponsorship, events and partnerships and cross-promotions for the benefit of the resorts & spas
  • Work closely with the DOSM and be aware of activities in the resorts (F&B promotions, VIP arrivals, new appointments or promotions of associates) that should trigger media interest – compile annual calendar of events and updates these quarterly.
