ROLE
KMRG, LLC (KMRG) is a federal services company that hires talented professionals to support Government agencies and the communities they serve. We are hiring a Graphic Designer to support the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), Property, Printing, and Distribution Branch (PPD). In this role, you will provide entry-level graphic production support for AO publications, forms, presentations, infographics, and other visual materials by applying established templates and branding standards, preparing files for print and digital use, maintaining organized digital assets, and applying basic Section 508 accessibility tagging.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Graphic Production & Template Support
  • Produce AO-branded visual products, including flyers, infographics, forms, charts, presentations, and template-based layouts
  • Follow AO Style Manual standards for typography, color, logos, and document structure
  • Format new content using approved AO templates while maintaining visual consistency across recurring and new materials
  • Maintain production-ready templates and continuity files to support uninterrupted output during surges or staff absences
  • Assist senior graphic designers with production tasks, file handoffs, revisions, and template development
  • Deliver accurate, polished work within established turnaround and quality expectations
File Preparation & Digital Assets
  • Prepare print-ready and digital-ready files for production, distribution, archiving, or handoff
  • Conduct file preflight checks for fonts, links, color modes, and image resolution
  • Package completed project files, including complete InDesign (INDD) packages, for archiving or handoff
  • Maintain the PPD digital asset library using AO naming conventions, approved folder structures, and metadata standards
  • Archive completed project files and support quarterly digital asset inventory and compliance reviews
Accessibility & Quality
  • Apply basic Section 508 accessibility tagging, including reading order, alt text, heading structure, and metadata
  • Use accessibility checking tools to identify and correct basic tagging issues within the assigned scope
  • Review assigned work for AO Style Manual compliance, accuracy, completeness, and production readiness
  • Maintain organized files and production materials so assets remain current, accessible, and properly categorized
  • Support consistent formatting and branding across publications, forms, presentations, and other visual communications
Coordination & Production Continuity
  • Participate in coordination meetings and communicate progress, deliverables, and production issues as assigned
  • Prepare weekly status information summarizing completed work, issues, and progress
  • Respond to COR direction and production priorities while supporting continuity during routine, rush, and surge requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS
  • Graphic production and template-based layout skills for print and digital visual materials
  • Ability to apply established branding, formatting standards, templates, and document structure consistently
  • Ability to prepare and preflight production files, including fonts, links, color modes, resolution, packaging, and archiving
  • Ability to organize and maintain digital assets using established file naming, folder structure, and metadata conventions
  • Ability to apply basic Section 508 tagging and work with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office tools used in AO production workflows

  • Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building, One Columbus Circle, NE, Washington, DC 20544

TELEWORK
  • Primary performance is at the Thurgood Marshall Federal Judiciary Building
  • Remote telework may be authorized
