What You Will Do
Join our Global Creative Team at Dermalogica and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our brand through innovative design. We are looking for a talented Graphic Designer who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is passionate about bringing brand storytelling to life. You will work closely with internal teams and creative agencies to execute high-impact global initiatives that elevate the Dermalogica experience across multiple touchpoints. Focus:
- Primary focus on digital campaign assets for skincare and beauty products.
- Contribute across all creative channels: packaging design and print, campaign key art, retail mockups and displays, digital assets (emails, paid media, social), video editing, and occasional motion work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create compelling digital and retail assets for campaigns and product launches.
- Design packaging that reflects Dermalogica’s brand vision and product innovation.
- Campaign concepting and ideation (e.g., moodboards and mockups) for new product innovations, utilizing AI image generation platforms.
- Translate marketing strategies into engaging visuals across platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and global teams.
- Stay on the pulse of beauty, design, and cultural trends to inform creative direction.
- Own the design process, managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring on-time delivery of assets.
- Help develop guidelines, templates, and tools for both internal teams and external partners to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
What You Will Bring
Key Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in graphic/brand/packaging design, ideally in beauty, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer goods.
- Strong portfolio showcasing packaging and cross-channel work.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
- Curiosity for new tools and tech, with a growth mindset.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) required
- AI image generation literacy required
- Video editing & simple motion graphics: Premiere Pro, After Effects required
- Typography, layout, visual storytelling, and trend forecasting
- Solid experience working on collaborative projects, ideally with external creative agencies
Key Skills and Abilities:
- A strong understanding of brand storytelling, visual identity, and consumer behavior
- Ability to execute designs across various formats, including digital, print, and packaging
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills to present ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback
- Passionate, self-motivated, and driven to deliver creative excellence under tight deadlines
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with motion design, 3D visualization and rendering (Blender, Element, Runway), or experiential branding
- Photography and/or videography
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and digital branding
- Familiarity with design research and data-driven approaches to design
This position will be based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA with applicable hybrid in-office work guidelines.
The expected annual base salary range for this position is $75K to $80K.The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget. This role is eligible for participation in our company bonus plan, rewarding personal performance and company results.
